“I have used Niche Modern lights on quite a few projects to date, and have been extremely happy with their product every single time. Niche Modern lights are timely, elegant, sophisticated and simple - which works in a multitude of project settings. Additionally, their customer service is superb - rectifying (very few) problems quickly and smoothly. They are a first rate company, creating high quality (and well priced) product for stylish settings. They are my "go to" company on just about every project!”

“I purchased a couch and chair a year ago from the Poughkeepsie store. The service was excellent and not at all pushy. We live on our couch, and after a year of wear, both pieces still look like new and the cushions are still in great shape!”

“My wife and I hired Erik to refinish an oak table that we purchased. Eric gave us several options to refinish the table and it came out perfect. His patience while we went over the option was great and well beyond what some others would have tolerated. The table was finished on time as promised and looks fantastic in our house. This is a piece of furniture that will handed down to our children and our children's children for many years to come. Thanks again Erik”

“Michael is a gifted artisan. Our dining chairs, from my wife's grandmother, had once featured immensely intricate woodworking on their backs--tiny pieces of mahogany crisscrossing and curving every which way, with an unusual finish. Over the decades, despite the obvious high quality of the craftsmanship in their original construction, these backs had slowly been destroyed by generations of children hanging on them, bashing them with bats, etc. We showed Michael a picture of one of the intact chairs, and handed him our three broken chairs, along with a bag of some of the little pieces of wood that had fallen off over the years. The wood we provided was clearly insufficient to bring the chairs back to their proper state. Michael managed to re-create these elaborate backs, seamlessly working in reproduction pieces of wood he somehow fashioned in his workshop. Michael matched the finish and design from the original so well that I cannot tell the difference between the reproduction and original portions of my chairs. Several years on, they’re still in perfect condition. He’s also done some similarly impressive work on badly damaged fine antique furniture for my father-in-law. His pricing isn’t cheap, but you’re paying for old world quality craftsmanship. If you have fine antique furniture in need of repair and appreciate finely done work, it’s worth it to have the work done properly. The accompanying pictures are before and after of one of the chairs.”

“I've purchased small furniture pieces, holiday gifts and commissioned a dining table from mission modern and have been delighted with the outcome each time. The designer and builder is wonderful to work with. His designs are beautifully executed and the prices are terrific. For a custom dining table I paid less than I would have at a store. The other great thing is that he delivers in the tristate area. He uses locally sourced woods or reclaimed depending on the project.”
