“Stephen supported us with the renovation of a house which for many years had been used as an office. The house was unusual as it was constructed from exposed concrete blocks and utilised an experimental 1970s radiant heating system, so it was a bit overwhelming. But I was really impressed by Stephen’s ability to translate my ramblings into a coherent design and at the way he redesigned the space without removing any of the character or architectural features which made the building so unique. He worked seamlessly with the builder, and was meticulous in his attention to detail. He was very creative in his choice of materials and helped us identify and source new furniture, even designing various pieces of bespoke furniture/cabinetry where there was no suitable retail option. More recently Stephen has assisted us with a self-build project. Our budget didn’t allow us to engage Stephen for full project support but he has acted as a sounding board and inputted into the floor plan, electrical services, bathroom design and my daughter’s bedroom. This support has been invaluable and his ideas, especially around the floor plan have been instrumental to the success of the project. Overall Stephen is really easy to talk to and very likeable. He presents options and concepts clearly and is responsive and receptive to ideas. He is very professional and brings a lot of energy to the projects. It’s a real pleasure working with him, to the point where I really looked forward to our meetings and felt genuinely sad when the projects completed. I highly recommend him.”
