It was great and a smooth experience working with Atelier Here for our home renovations, as they were attentive and respectful of our original intent, aesthetics and taste. While both me and my partner had contrasting preferences in terms of design style (warm wood tones vs industrial chic), Atelier Here was able to help combine both our different requirements and tastes into a coherent and sleek design which we were both very satisfied with. The recommendation from them to broaden our living room and study into a single space is one that we are very glad to have taken, as we appreciate the roominess of the space in contrast with the original size of the living space. I was especially glad of this when working from home during the lockdown period.
The designer was also very creative in the customization of the main feature bookshelf to allow the table to be completely kept in when needed, so that we could have a larger space to entertain our guests and family. We also had an older piece of cabinetry that was very well re-designed and re-purposed to fit our room. The quality and workmanship are excellent, as the built in cabinetry are still in wonderful condition. The design overall fits our needs very well, and there isn't anything else we would change even at this point having stayed here for a while.
We are extremely glad for engaging Atelier Here's services - being greeted by a calm and cozy, spacious space every time we come home, and getting praises from every visitor that comes to our place. Many wonderful memories have been made with the backdrop of their beautiful design, and we will cherish them fully.

I finally bought my dream apartment when one came a available for resale in my condo. I was recommended many good designers and also came across Atelier Here on the internet. I loved the images of their works. It met with several designers and it was quite easy for me to appoint AH - Kelvin spent time to understand me and interpreted my taste well, There was an aligned aesthetic sensibility and I trusted that Atelier Here would create a beautiful home for me.
My apartment was majorly reconfigured (from a 3 bedder to a generous 1), and AH was very creative, proposing several layouts to match my needs, habits and lifestyle. The design rationales for the proposals of every room, area, nook and cranny were well explained to me. Beautiful materials were proposed, and overall it was truly bespoke.
I brought along from my previous place some furniture pieces and AH worked to incorporate them from the onset. These pieces are acquired over various times in various styles (scary you say! :-)) and AH managed to weave the new and old, vintage and contemporary into a fine balance. Over the course of the construction, in spite of the pandemic and my travels, I was kept abreast of progress by the team. As the design took shape onsite, I requested some minor tweaks and AH was able to accommodate them.
I am happy with the outcome, a place which I now call my home and many friends love and also admire.

Atelier Here’s ID works are contemporary & creative; not run of the mill type of ID.
This is the 2nd time I am engaging Atelier.
There’s 2 way communication to know my needs & sharing of ideas including sharing of resources outside the scope of work.
Dependable & Meticulous in execution of works.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Atelier Here for home renovation, and I couldn't be happier with the results! From the very first consultation, their team demonstrated an exceptional understanding of vision and style. They listened attentively to our ideas and provided insightful suggestions that truly elevated the design.
The process was seamless and enjoyable. They were not only professional but also incredibly creative.
Communication was excellent throughout the project. I always felt informed and supported, and any concerns were addressed promptly.
I highly recommend Atelier Here to anyone looking to enhance their space. Their talent and dedication to client satisfaction are truly remarkable.

I had an enjoyable collaboration with Atelier Here for my apartment interior design. They were attentive to my brief and had a sharp sense for interpreting my requirements in a tasteful manner. We had an engaging process exchanging ideas for the apartment interior. With their aesthetic design, our apartment was also featured in design magazine.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the final renovation results and I would recommend Atelier Here if you want customized and beautiful design that is not your average run-of-the-mill typical interiors. Great and attentive service!

Scheduled works were not completed even after more than a year (project timeline was 3.5-4 months) despite multiple extensions given, with a lack of proper oversight on-site resulting in sub-par work done and multiple rectifications needed on the same things over and over again.
Very often there was either no, poor, or late communication, and pertinent issues were not addressed appropriately till very late. We were forced to move into an uncompleted home.
Many design mistakes by Kelvin Lim from Atelier Here also led to inability to complete works because the ideas were too stubbornly complicated to be carried out sufficiently (sub-vendors were concerned about safety fabricating certain items and refused to), and he was also very hands-off, hardly visiting the site (just twice?) and difficult to reach at times. Even the project manager left halfway. Contractors did not have proper supervision and were switched out.
Overall would not recommend working with this firm, not worth the angst in our extremely poor experience.
Update:
Due to Houzz's policy on word limits and adhering to publishing guidelines given, many details had to be omitted. To the firm's conveniently constructed narrative/reply/claims, more information can be released, in the spirit of transparency. We remain contactable.

Comment from Atelier Here:
While accepting negative feedback is part and parcel of service delivery, it is sometimes necessary to respond to unfair claims. This is our response.
In relation to the claim that the scheduled works took more than a year to complete, it is a matter of record that site works commenced in June 2023 and was handed over in November 2023. Despite this review claiming “multiple extensions,” the estimated project timeline provided by our team was 3.5 to 4 months for the original scope. Progressively over the course of construction, the client increased the scope of the project by 21%. As per the agreement, any additional work requested would see a commensurate increase in the timeline. The additional 1 month taken was a result of this increase. To add to complications, the client engaged their own external contractors for some of the trades. While the work of any third-party vendors does not fall under the purview of our design team, it does affects the overall timeline.
This review also refers to “multiple rectifications needed on the same things,” but it’s important to add some context to this claim. Due to the client’s anxiety about the project’s progress, they approached members of our on-site design team several times a day to comment on tasks still underway. These were all “works in progress” and were due to be completed according to the timeline. Without these interruptions, we were confident that everything would have been delivered to the client’s satisfaction.
We were genuinely surprised to read the comments about the lack of communication. Around 1500 WhatsApp messages were sent during the construction period – 14 each day. These are on top of multiple emails and private WhatsApp messages during the same period.
While our studio director oversees the design of every project, day-to-day duties are assigned to an overall, on-site designer. This is our standard practice and was established upfront to the client during the initial meeting. The client delivered some excellent feedback on the performance of the on-site designer, which is on record. Perhaps that’s why the client requested she take over the site manager role. The elderly project manager was removed due to the client’s request to let the overall (on-site) designer take over the entire team. While we largely try to be flexible to after-hours queries and meet request, we do respect the boundaries of the working hours of our team members. This is especially true for our more elderly employees.
While we always welcome feedback, the team believes that this review fails to provide vital context. Our door will always be open should this client wish to address their concerns in a spirit of transparency and goodwill.

It was a breeze to work with Kelvin from Atelier Here. He struck a great balance between listening to our needs and offering his advice/expertise. He's very hands-on but never too pushy about his ideas, and tried as far as possible to incorporate our preferences into his design. He's very meticulous and communicated issues that came up well so we could make good decisions.
His work showcases a clean, elegant, minimal aesthetic -- exactly what we were looking for. His contractors were also efficient and proactive. There were one or two design elements that were not very practical for daily use. But after hearing our feedback, these were sorted out quickly and without fuss.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend Kelvin and his team for their professionalism and dedication to creating a beautiful home for us. Thumbs up!
