“We purchased an older home on a beautiful piece of property in North Carolina. We struggled with the flow of the house and needed help. Dr. Homme, in a matter of a few hours, drew a series of overlays to the existing house plan that offered many options. The final plan made the house much more livable and the traffic flow from front door through the house to the back door worked much better. Many options were given and are still being considered. Cost was a factor and Dr. Homme offered her suggestions on how to keep the cost within reason and still offer a great plan. Would we use her again? ABSOLUTELY!”

“Tony is that guy... that interior designer that provides the professional working relationship everyone dreams about as they cross the threshold of hiring someone to accomplish a personal vision. Upon first meeting him, there is an instant comfort level, not only with his design expertise, but his innate ability to make prospective clients feel at ease. Let's face it...it's not easy to invite someone into your home to assess and reassess. It's intimate and personal. It's your home. In my opinion, this above all else is where Tony is a standout among designers. He listens, he cares, he advises....whilst always bearing in mind the desires of the client. The current project that is finishing up is the third we've hired Tony to design. We first hired him to redo our family room....make that our 1200 sqft family room. The challenge was to take an asymmetric large space, produce balance and above all make it feel warm and inviting. Not only was this a mission accomplished, but everyone who walks into our home comments on the exact same thing. "I can't believe how big this room is, yet so seemingly intimate and warm!" The second project was for our home in Florida which has a beautiful courtyard and numerous patio spaces that were in need of furniture. We had originally considered completing all with teak pieces. Tony explained the difference between investing in a line that would have forever appeal as opposed to needing to replace furnishings over the years. In addition, we preferred the styling of the line Tony suggested. No detail was left undone. Outdoor rooms that we hadn't been able to utilize came to life and doubled the living space of the house. Having been so enamored with our family room, when it came time to hire someone to design the remodel of the rest of our New England home, there was no decision to be made as to who to call on for this enormous job. The project entailed the kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, 2 half baths, keeping room, dining room, living room, office, rec room, and 2 large outside decks. Once again, nothing was forgotten. Traffic patterns were addressed. As we have large rooms, furniture scale was integral. Beautiful, thoughtful design was implemented all while adhering to stipulated budgets. The job is just now buttoning up, but my home is absolutely breathtaking. It finally feels like home. Tony is without question a talented, brilliant designer. Yet, aside from his charming, warm personality, what truly makes him stand apart from his professional peers is his ability to play the middle man. He is constantly coordinating contractors, artisans, and anyone involved in the project. He is a master at managing unforseen issues or any challenges that may arise. This, for us, was paramount in hiring someone for a job this large. Tony's, "Don't worry...I'll take care of it" mindset isn't just talk. He does take care of everything, which in turn alleviates undo stress on the client. There aren't enough superlatives to articulate my respect for Tony and his team as a design firm. I pat myself on the back all the time for having made the fortuitous decision to utilize Tony's expertise. Above that, the trusting friendship my family and I have cultivated with Tony and his staff supersedes budgets and talent. Deep pockets and all the talent in the world won't necessarily produce the end result everyone envisions.
