After making the structural repairs, I needed someone to come in and take over the project, creating what I hoped would become a magical guest hideaway. I had seen several homes that Kathleen Schippers had renovated and I fell in love with her work. She has a wonderful sense of space and color, creating rooms that invite you in. I wanted someone who could make the space practical and feel lived in, while at the same time creating an excitement and beauty for my family and guests. Kathleen did it all! The project was finished in a timely manner and on budget. My expectations were exceeded and now everyone who walks into the cottage is absolutely wowed. She has blended the old with the new, and though it retains all the charm of the 1920's design, it softly brings in some contemporary elements as well.
