“My husband and I hired Kirsten/Sustainable Home to help us with our home remodel last fall at the recommendation of our contractor. We liked that she was knowledgeable about environmental issues related to furnishing and designing a home, and we liked what we saw on her website. What we found in working with her was that, in addition to her "green" knowledge, Kirsten brought a lovely and professional personality to the process. She was friendly, flexible, full of good ideas, a good listener, honest, and good at discerning what my husband and I would like for our decor (in other words, she worked with our vision for the house rather than pushing her own agenda). We were working on a tight timeline, and she was able to pull the project together in time, with just a few non-essential odds and ends remaining that have since been completed. We were incredibly pleased with the results in our home. Choosing to work with her gave us a home we love being in, saved us untold hours of searching for different products on our own, and probably saved us a good bit of money, too, since she was able to focus and direct us. I have recommended her to other friends with pleasure.”

“We hired Hellen Hsieh, the owner of Design Loft Company, to design our 725 sq ft great room addition. We are so incredibly thrilled with the completed project, it is exactly what we had envisioned. Our existing house was a 1200 sq ft 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. The kitchen and living area was very modest. With two teenagers at home, we needed to expand and wanted more room to entertain. When we started the project we were uncertain if we should knock down walls and remodel the current floor plan and add a small addition or keep the footprint of the existing house exactly the same and add on one large great room. We decided to do the later, however, to get to this point, we went through several different renderings. Hellen provided us with many great options and helped us decide what would be the most economical and feasible plan. She was flexible, patient and was great about pointing out the pros and cons of each option. Her interactions with our architect , contractor and cabinet supplier went very smoothly which helped us to meet specific deadlines. Hellen was maticulous when it came to the kitchen cabinets and made sure everything was ordered properly and our custom stain came out exactly how we wanted. As a designer, she is very creative and knowledgeable. She understood the style and feel we were after. More importantly she was very conscious and respectful of our monetary constraints which helped us complete our entire project within budget. What impressed us most was her understanding of the build process: from the contractors needs, the city requirements, realistic costs and time estimates, appliance installation prerequisites and inspection requirements. We couldn't be more pleased with Design Loft and Hellen's professionalism.”

“As a veteran of Silicon Valley, I have recognized that integrated platforms provide the best value for end users. What if a construction company could integrate the various disciplines associated with remodeling/new home construction into a platform like approach? Imagine having to deal with a separate architect, a separate 3D renderer, a separate interior designer, various showrooms where all care about their own individual services and products? As we look back at our experience with the Greenberg Design Gallery team together with the Greenberg Construction team; from the original concept stage, to budgeting, design, and implementation/cost trade-offs, to securing our permit, we have recognized that indeed the team at Greenberg have implemented a very efficient platform. The team is highly technical and uses state of the art architectural design tools to take their clients through the journey in a very timely manner. In fact, we believe the value we have received in the design to permit phase will eventually save us a considerable amount as we anticipate minimal changes during the build phase. Greenberg architected our new home vision in the first month, and by empowering us with their 3D modeling package, we were able to request modifications and fine tune our entire house in the ensuing two months. In parallel, we were visiting their showroom in Palo Alto (where they have a rich selection of material), and spent quality time with their interior designers to help us reach consensus on the majority of the type of finishes for our house. So in approximately three months we went from vision to design to permit and material type selection. Of course, the entire design and office team’s great attitude and genuine care ties all the loose ends. We highly recommend you visit Greenberg Design Gallery in person to assess for yourself.”

“How wonderful to have a decorator who does not provide cookie-cutter designs. She looked at our home, listened to who we are and what we wanted and provided us with choices. From our slate entry to our new floors to the built-ins in the family room to our granite in the kitchen and bathroom, it all ties together to provide a warm, comfortable home. We get so many compliments, I think we may have the design others want to copy.”

“Highly recommend! Aelita's thoughtful and pleasant approach to truly making our space comfortable with each inhabitant's style in mind, along with her copious knowledge and explanation of Chinese perspectives, and their practical application for us personally, has made all aspects of consulting with her, thoroughly worthwhile. I have enjoyed working with Aelita over the past several years on annual expectations for home/business, and practical Feng Shui flow of 2 of our homes (as well as one rental property). With her proactive and warm personality, our design, layout and aesthetics have continually come together in a pleasing and consistent manner, and make living at home so satisfying! Her substantially informative, and easily digested input, has proved insightful, and her genuine sincerity towards our well being - regardless of budget or size of the project, is evident in both the process, and end result. I’m definitely excited to get my sparkle on for 2019 with our remodel consult coming up this month!”

“Ariel has such a light hand and does everything with such ease! My partner and I were overwhelmed with trying to quickly furnish our new home and starting with almost nothing. I tend to overthink every decision, so I really needed help bringing together a cohesive design and be confident in our decision making. This was also at the time that everything was out of stock, and Ariel was able to source items that were almost all entirely in stock. Ariel really listened to the exact requirements we had for our unique space and made sure that each piece would fit just right, with an emphasis on quality and longevity. More importantly, she helped us be brave when it came to bold design decisions. A dark and moody dining space is not something we would have ever thought of on our own, let alone been confident enough to execute. It ended up being the most stylish corner in our home, has such a Chicago vibe, and continues to be the source of inspiration for or other design decisions. Ariel really helped us quickly get from zero (literally only a mattress on the floor) to fully furnished in a matter of a couple of months. We are still putting together finishing touches and decorative elements, and Ariel's online design resources are really helpful for that as well.”

“I have worked with Geoff on a living room redecorating project, designing window treatments for two homes and general advice on where to buy new furniture and ways to make our space function better for our family. He is so easy to work with, very knowledgeable about design, style, color, fabric, and is always mindful of my budget. “We worked with Studio Ahead to select furnishing, drapery, art and light fixtures for our new home in Marin County. They came up with furniture floor plans and ways of using pieces that made our home have the designer feel we wanted, yet still felt very specific to who my husband and I are. On top of it we have worked with other interior designers before on previous homes and I have to say the process with Studio Ahead was very smooth. They are on top of purchasing, budgets and timelines which we appreciated after having some poor experiences in the past. Thank you Studio Ahead team! Looking forward to working together on the house in Tahoe.”
