“My wife and I just completed a project with interior designer, Andrea Houck, president of A. Houck Designs. We were very happy with the end result of our living room, dining room, foyer, and kitchen breakfast nook. This was the first time that we had used an interior designer and Andrea was able to easily answer all of our questions and guide us through the entire process from design concept through installation. After initially speaking with us and finding out what we did and didn’t like, she was able to help us define our style and presented us with a number of different options for each room that we were able to refine and choose from. She also helped us to pick a unique color palette that coordinated from room to room and, importantly, easily fit with the rest of our existing home. We ended our project on a positive note with Andrea and we would recommend A. Houck Designs to anyone. Jason – Arlington, VA”

These 2 women are very professional by providing design boards with ideas of the furniture, colors, etc. and alternative looks. “Expensive taste on an affordable budget! We purchased a new home about 1 year ago and I spent several months trying to figure out how I could create a classy, livable look with limited funds. After explaining to Tangie my vision and budget, we took a trip to Home Goods. It would have taken me several hours and multiple trips to the store to do what Tangie did in 10 minutes. It was amazing to watch; she definitely has an eye for timeless inexpensive pieces. We stopped at a few other stores to include Kirkland's and Ross; then headed back to my home. It took her all of 30 minutes to decorate my family room space. After witnessing her genius, I highly recommend Tangie and am excited to see what she will do to the rest of my home.”

We especially liked working with Linda and her staff because they took the time to get to know us and our likes and dislikes. “Design for change worked with our non- profit on a pro-bono basis. We are a domestic violence organization that was trying to outfit 30 apartment units on a shoestring. Kathleen was so knowledgeable about how to make spaces inviting and comfortable for our clients. Her social work background was such an asset. She was also able to create beautiful spaces with donated and inexpensive items!!! She can make anything look gorgeous I only wish we had a bigger budget. She outfitted 30 units quickly, efficiently and consistently between units. I was amazed and very thankful. We expanded to an additional building 10 months later and she was up to the task! That is a whopping 49 units! She is compassionate, professional and not afraid to roll up her sleeves. Highly recommended! Natalia”
