“We recently purchased an older style house in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW. As we are both creatively challenged we knew we needed some help to turn a tired holiday home into a functional and vibrant family home which flowed from room to room. We engaged the services of Luci from Luci.D interiors after a consultation in our home. She was friendly, professional and actively listened to what we wanted. Out of the 3 designers we approached she was the only one to provide us with a written outline of her services (incl fees) and a clear picture of the style we wanted to achieve (she even invited us to view her home as an example of her work!). Luci spent countless hours with us, tweaking the design and colour scheme until we were completely satisfied. She then provided us with a procurement schedule for all the furniture and a detailed plan of the design with colour pictures and samples. Luci also met with any trades that came on site and made sure they had a clear understanding of the work required, this was fantastic when my husband and I were both working fulltime and often unable to attend. Luci was very flexible and inventive. We were on a tight budget and she worked with us to come up with some cost saving ideas which required some DIY but meant we got the look without the cost. The end result was an old and dated home being given a fabulous new lease of life in a modern country style. It is now a place we love to spend time in and show off to our friends and family. We would highly recommend Luci.d Interiors for your next project. We will be using Luci again when we renovate our kitchen and bathrooms. We would also recommend using an interior designer, the cost definitely outweighs the hours spent painting a room only to discover you hate the colours and none of your furniture matches! “On working with Vivian on the Waterview House project, my family and I had concepts of what we wanted to achieve within the kitchen space, but no real decisions had been made other than the selection of appliances and layout when Vivian came on board. We really didn't know what materials or light fixtures we necessarily wanted to use. Vivian has a natural aptitude in facilitating and nurturing ideas/concepts into something tangible. The end product not only met our expectations, but truly took it to a place we didn't foresee. Vivian was great at putting together a colour palette that simply worked to the features of the kitchen. The assistance with selecting the light coloured paint for the walls complimented the open space, where the silver metallic feature wall in the bar area gave the space a striking industrial feel - this was further complimented with the selection of aluminium bar stools and lighting fixtures. At first we weren't sure if this industrial feel would work for us, but the combination of subtitle elements mixed with the warm inviting wood veneer along the kitchen island and bar really made it an inviting space and a pleasant surprise. Essentially, Vivian supplied us with options, beautifully thought-out options. This was exactly what we wanted, we didn't feel pressured to make a certain choice and it was very much a collaborative approach, which we appreciated. Vivian reminded us that whatever recommendations she made, our choices were at the end of the day ours and we had to love the space we were creating as we would be the ones left to enjoy it. I would without a doubt recommend Vivian to anyone; she was a pleasure to work with.”
