“Margaret and John Larcade created and executed a comprehensive and excellent redesign and update of the interior of the mid-century modern house I live in which was designed by my father. The house is a beautiful house and Margaret's furniture and fabric choices really enhanced the elegant simplicity of the house. Her knowledge of interior design, her familiarity with the most interesting fabrics and furniture sources and her sophisticated understanding of space, color and texture combined with her many years of design experience made the process of redesign inspirational. She and John pay great attention to detail and to the integrity of the space and are at the same time very practical and cost effective about their design solutions. The professionals they brought in for upholstery, painting etc. were all excellent and the companies Margaret works with respect and admire her. Both she and John are very generous with their time and were patient and careful to make sure that my husband and I were pleased and comfortable with each aspect of the design process. Margaret and John also did a wonderful job of creating solutions for some of the design challenges that were presented. They created a more comfortable and intimate space in our "pass through" dining room, they designed furniture and shelf inserts in our den and they commissioned an iconic piece of wall art made from vintage Knoll fabric from my father's office for our Living Room. The finished product achieves exactly what I hoped it would achieve, to honor my father's house. I love every aspect of the design and have great respect for them both. I highly recommend them and will be using them myself in the future.”

“Jenna is a dream to work with. Not only did we end up with a fabulously designed house, we had fun doing it together! Jenna will go above and beyond to make your ideas a reality. If there is an alternative product that is more optimal, she will know it. She also assisted in the procurement of the items and, when one of them came defective, she followed up and got it rectified. We are so happy with our home design by Jenna, which was eventually selected by the builder to feature in the Parade of Homes in the area. I would work with Jenna again in a heartbeat. “Allyson was a pleasure to work with and has great design sensibilities. She’s professional. But a plus is that she’s also a genuinely nice person. We really liked working with her. And we really appreciated that she was very willing to work within our desired style (transitional), and within our color palette, which tends to be quite neutral. With her help, we broke out of our “everything has to be white” mold. Her color suggestions were always spot-on, and she never tried to push any colors or design choices on us that were outside that aesthetic. Allyson helped us find a general contractor and a cabinet supplier. And she worked with us through the whole project to make sure that everything turned out just like we wanted it. She came up with a great design for a custom bathroom vanity that was a bit out of the ordinary due to the wall configuration in a very small bathroom. It provides much-needed storage and looks beautiful! And the tile wainscoting in that bath is gorgeous – another one of her ideas. It looks wonderful and hides major imperfections in our old, cracked plaster walls. We didn’t do any major structural renovations, such as tearing out or moving walls, but Allyson did suggest that we consider removing a closet to expand our master bathroom. We decided against that (since we have an old house and limited closet space), but her suggestion led us to the idea of using part of the closet for a large wall niche in the bathroom, which has vastly improved the storage in the bathroom. She also improved on the overall design of the niche, and it looks great! Allyson was very helpful with planning the kitchen cabinets. We went with her advice on the color choice for the wood, and she had valuable input on the overall look of our shaker-style cabinetry (slab v. 5-piece drawers) and hardware. Her overall goal was to keep the design choices we made consistent throughout the project, and I think she achieved that. I’m sure we drove her crazy with all of our questions, and the length of time it took us to make all of the many, many decisions involved, but she never let on if it did. We were so happy with her work that when we moved into a new house, we hired her to help us with that project as well.”
