“I hired Lumar Interios recently to assist me with choosing window coverings as well as a kitchen table and chairs that would fit my kitchen space. Lumar Interiors saved me time by offering an in-home consultation with fabrics and ideas. In the times we met, they arrived on time. Lumar Interiors possessed profesional and organized qualities by listening to my needs, taking notes accordingly and returning my emails in a timely fashion. They offered a personable approach as we would often discuss family and life before business and thereby making me feel comfortable having them in my home. “I hired BKDP back in October 2011 to redesign the ground level and 2 second level bathrooms of my home. After interviewing different design companies, both my wife and I felt most comfortable with Fardid and Ken as they were very clear and detailed in explaining the whole design process and how they charge for design and renovation to us. The design process took about 6 weeks and the design was revised a couple of times as we added more items to our wish list. They presented different design and material options to us and guided us to select the design that we like. The renovation took about 3 months to complete and we were very pleased with the end result. During the renovation, their coordinator kept us updated with their progress and schedule without the need of me calling them. And whenever I call or e-mail them with questions concerning the project, they would respond to me right away. We are considering to renovate our basement later on and we would definitely rehire BKDP for their service without hesitation.”

“We purchased a 60 year old home and hired Diana to assist with updating the inside of the home. She assisted with structural changes and colour and style selections. I was able to communicate to her the style that I wanted and she was able to make those visions come to life. For example, I wanted an open concept kitchen and she was able to determine where all the appliances and cabinets would be placed once the main kitchen wall was demolished. Her colour selections, tile styles and cabinet styles for all three washrooms and laundry room were perfect. She also respected my opinion. For example, I wasn't too enthusiastic about the colour selections for the wall surrounding the fireplace, Diana could sense that and immediately pulled out a different colour selection based on my feedback and I fell in love with the colours. She also gives honest feedback. She pointed out to me immediately if I was gravitating towards a selection that was a 'fad' and not 'timeless. I would definitely hire her again for future projects. I have absolutely no regrets about any of the decisions made, and that is 100% because we had Diana as our designer. Thank You.”

“I would like to thank you for taking the time to help us work through room by room in our new home. Alex was reliable and completed designs, changes, and incorporated our suggestions efficiently. Some of the projects we started with were paint colors, room decoration ideas, wall décor and art placement. Alex suggested painting the space/wall above our mantel to create the illusion of a more grand fireplace and we love it! We also purchased a large mural to go our dining room wall as suggested and guests have complimented the artwork. We then decided to take on the kitchen full gut renovation during the Christmas season. Alex was available to do home visits, answer questions despite it being a very busy time of year. Alex provided us with a number of samples and worked within the types of cabinets we were willing to purchase due to budget. The highlights of our kitchen include a custom oak rangehood, oak open shelving in our island, copper lighting and accents, a 11 foot island and many cabinets to store all of our kitchen items. We worked with Alex to choose fixtures that would work and her honest opinion left us with a glamorous kitchen design! Looking forward to moving into the other rooms to choose wall art, accent walls, and hearing Alex’s suggestions to make our home even more beautiful.”

This timing was paramount to them understanding our big vision. Three things stand out from our work with Parkyn Design. First, one of the biggest strengths Tania demonstrated was her ability to really listen and understand what we wanted. She really did hear everything we said: our ideas, our dreams, our likes, our dislikes. We saw proof of this in the end results when our home seemed to fit us like a glove. Second, Tania’s experience ensured that our home would be timeless, yet incredibly unique and personal to us. Because Parkyn Design is current with trends and ahead of the curve on what’s coming, we were introduced to new products and materials which made the choices for everything both practical and leading edge. “We hired Aloe to help design and renovate the den in our condo. What a pleasure to work with Chloe, the designer for our project! She was well-prepared for the consultation during our initial phone call, and took the effort to fully understood what we wanted. She addressed all of our needs and questions, and proposed a plan that is within our budget. Throughout the renovation, she kept a constant line of communication with us to make sure we were aware of what was going on. The project was completed on time and we were very happy that she transformed our den from an empty and unused space into a beautiful guest bedroom with storage in which we very much enjoy spending time. We had some friends stay over in the renovated room, and they really liked it! We are so glad that we chose Aloe as our designer. We would definitely recommend their professionalism and expertise to our friends.”
