They linked us with suppliers for new appliances, tiles, and fittings, which we found extremely helpful. They also helped to mitigate costs where they could, while always keeping us informed of any additions or changes to the agreed budget. Their communicative approach meant that we were made aware of any minor delays or problems as they arose and they followed up with us after project completion to ensure that any remaining minor issues were resolved. “Dustin Kneeland installed a new bathroom for us in 2011, complete with heated tile flooring, contour shower, toilet, vanity, lighting, and wainscoting. Dustin's work was excellent. We were very pleased with the results, the time it took him to complete the job, the cost as quoted in the estimate, and his overall professionalism and friendly manner. We would not hesitate to hire him again.”

“Cezar was engaged to build a 21st century guest bathroom with new porcelain wall and floor tiles, plumbing fixtures, shower, toilet and 4 drawer cabinet which required a complete demolition of the previous bathroom. He provided a complete scope of work covering the demolition and construction, and fulfilled all of his responsibilities admirably. In the preparation for the work to be done, he presented a number of competent, well developed design ideas which aided my understanding of the design possibilities for the room. Cezar has great understanding of the work from his long experience, and possesses outstanding skills and knowledge with an overriding very pleasant attitude toward his clients, and suppliers. He completed the work within the time required. The budget was increased as a result of changes made at my request, and through no fault of Cezar. I found his quiet, but very competent advice on colours for the tiles and paintwork invaluable, and a much better bathroom was created as a result.”

“Recently I entered into a second renovation collaboration with Bill McCance. The former one was in 1998; a total home renovation on our 1960 house in Pemberton, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the result. Being a novice at this myself, the project was intimidating but Bill made every step painless. He provided me with weekly spreadsheets so I was always updated on budget, and made aware of what comes next so I had time to make decisions. His crew is superb and he is a hands-on contractor. His timeline for completion was pretty much perfect as well. In February of 2014 we had a 3-hour meeting on site to discuss the scope of work on an apartment renovation in North Vancouver. It was to be a total kitchen gut as well as some tweaks on the fireplace and other areas. Once I picked out my appliances, tile and backsplash, kitchen sink and faucet there was no need for me to be there at all. I actually chose my cabinetry (layout and materials) and countertops by email with Bill’s advice and the result is fantastic. Once again Bill produced a top quality product, on time, and on budget. It’s pretty telling how much I trust his ability when the finishing touches were done while I was vacationing in Mexico! Can you do the contracting yourself? Sure, but unless you are experienced and have a good crew the headaches, and potential costly errors along the way are not worth it. I believe I saved money by limiting my involvement to décor decisions and hiring a professional. As they say “Let the baker bake the bread.” He is extremely organized, a perfectionist, and his integrity and quality of work are impeccable. I hope to work with him again.”

“Shaun and Vanessa at Harbour Kitchens and Millwork were instrumental in helping us to achieve the overall look and feel of an elegant Hampton-style summer home. Our plans required custom-designed wainscoting, built-in bench seats and custom cabinetry surrounding the fireplace and in the entry way, as well as a two-tiered island and efficient butler’s pantry that all flowed together on the same theme throughout the house. The overall design, proportions and finishing details were beautifully executed by the Harbour Kitchens team. Vanessa, Shaun and John are excellent communicators who have a real sense of what customer service is all about.
