“Garden Architecture worked with my wife and I to redesign everything outside the walls of our house. The work included a driveway, walks, two entrances, patio, pond, firepit, retaining walls, stormwater management (two rain gardens and an underground surge tank), site lighting and plantings. I am an architect so brought some of my own ideas to the project, good and bad. Kirsten was a great collaborator and a delight to work with. She is knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the work and a creative designer, for our project doing everything from addressing tricky grading and drainage problems to creating a beautiful environment in which we now happily spend as much time as possible.”

“We are more than pleased with the work Martin did for us. We had just added a circular driveway to the front of the house and had 3 areas that required landscaping. I had a few ideas but I’ve never had a green thumb so wanted to get professional help. He responded quickly and was able to come by the next day. He not only listened to my ideas but helped expand them. He also was able to evaluate the soil and gave recommendations to improve it that we still use annually. The shrubs and flowers filled in beautifully and each spring we get many compliments on our garden. You need Martin for your landscaping needs. D Lewis”

“Our yard is elegant, graphically interesting and well thought out. We are happy with the thoroughness of the team from Stoney Bank Nurseries. From a highly stylized plan which maximizes the gathering spaces in our courtyard - to the care and effort of the planting staff. The whole experience was completed thoughtfully and efficiently. While specifically addressing drainage and privacy issues we were having, the new yard and fence have made the old problem areas visually pleasing and comfortable features of our yard.”

She really worked with us to understand our style and logistical needs and developed a design that was a perfect fit. She has worked with us every step of the way to make the project become a reality. “Jeremy Russell was extremely professional and respectful all the way thru the entire length of the project.. We had three different pieces to the project. 1. Demolition of an old patio and excavation around the pool in preparation for the new concrete. 2. Poured new concrete around pool and patio area to prep for the new brick to be laid. 3. Installed new brick pavers including a medallion in the middle of the patio. The schedule was on time and every detail was scrutinized by Jeremy. We have had multiple compliments on our new pool and patio area. We just love it and would use Jeremy on our future projects.”
