“We had recently added a sunroom and needed some landscaping done in our backyard around the new room. We also decided to put in a patio adjacent to the sunroom. We have a slanted backyard, so we really needed advice on how to accomplish this. In addition, we needed a landscaper to work with us as the contractor finished our deck so everything would flow together. We had an idea of what we wanted, but were really looking for advice and recommendations. We talked to three different landscapers and decided to go with Western DuPage Landscaping. The designer, Nicole, had some great suggestions for our project and worked within the budget we gave her. She patiently explained the difference in pricing between the various pavers available and also recommended plants and shrubs that would grow in our very shaded backyard. Our project came in on budget and in the time frame given. We are very happy with the work done and would not hesitate to return to WDL for future work.”

“The Hursthouse team patiently spent many hours developing a detailed and extensive renovation plan for our entire property. Major features of the plan included: --installing a brick paver driveway bordered by a snapcut limestone retaining wall --installing bluestone front entry walk and porch --rebuilding backyard bluestone patio and new courtyard area with water fountain and cast iron fence border --extensive landscape lighting both front and back --installing imported planter urns on pedestals --extensive tree & shrub planting, perennials & ground cover. The design added great value and enhanced our enjoyment of our property in ways we never anticipated. The entire Hursthouse team took great pride in their work and went to great lengths to make us very satisfied clients.”

“We used EverGreen for landscaping and patio installation. We quoted the project with 3 local contractors, and although the 3 quotes were not apples-to-apples, Evergreen offered the best price and more importantly, the best options that most closely matched the size and scope of our quote request. Becca had unique ideas for our cookie-cutter space. The project started and completed on time, and despite the heavy equipment and materials used for the projected, the disruption from the actual construction was minimal. His pricing was very reasonable and he's been very helpful in the whole process in getting this started. “My husband and I hired Kyle to design and install a patio and fire pit with surrounding plants in our back yard. With an eye for detail and a unique creative ability, Kyle came up with a perfect design for us which complemented our house and deck. Kyle’s clear communication made the project flow seamlessly. We received an initial email detailing each step of the project. Each day he was on job site to monitor the progress and convey any additional information or changes as well as answer any of our questions. The crew was on time daily, worked tirelessly, answered our questions, and cleaned up the yard at the end of each day. The project was within our budget, completed on time and we absolutely love it.”

“We had our apron to the driveway and the front sidewalk and entrance done with pavers. We were happy to hear that polymeric sand was used so that weeds would not grow between the pavers. The grading of the sidewalk was excellent and there was no need to even have a step due to this. We loved the artistic look of the sidewalk. The entrance from the driveway is wider and gives it a more elegant look. The sidewalk has the pavers turned along the two edges for the border appearance. The finished project far exceeded our expectations. We plan to use Yorkville Hill for our patio and landscaping! We loved how Kyle contacted us whenever we had changes or questions and how he supervised his crew!”

“John and the K&D crew re-landscaped 3 sides of our house. We are very pleased with the work they did. John's plans showed imagination & originality that we have not seen elsewhere. This was the first time that we had work done (our 8th residence over 40 years), that did not require us to oversee anything! The professionalism was astounding! If we were present, it was because we were interested in the process. And the only questions to address were changes regarding availability of plantings, etc. The K&D workers were courteous and neat. A pleasure to work with and our compliments to everyone at K&D!”
