The modular PODDs in particular are stunning and clearly transform an outdoor area into a versatile and stylish way of life. We don't have heaps of room in our outdoor area so was great to see the various projects they've completed for courtyards and townhouses - it gives us hope that garden designers out there are thinking outside the box! “Paul and his team at Green & Gorgeous have been maintaining and improving our garden since September 2007. We have employed them on a weekly basis for over 7 years. As well as maintenance they have taken on hard landscaping and design projects for us. The team are personable, knowledgeable, efficient and proactive. I am so proud of our garden, it always looks tidy and is stunning when in bloom thanks to G&G - I would highly recommend their services.”

“My project included landscaping, surfacing, building a cabin and supplying all utilities. Greenway managed everything from the ground up, were courteous, tidy and efficient. The site was managed well and everything was finished on time to a high standard with minimum fuss and disruption. Highly recommended. Would use again without hesitation.”

“We had been let down badly by another contractor, who had started but not finished a refurbishment of our garden pond. Chris came to our house on the same day that we contacted him, provided a competitive quote, and finished the job before the end of the week. The standard of his work was excellent and he just got on with the job without constant supervision. His knowledge of ponds was very helpful and has encouraged us to develop that aspect of our garden further. It was clear that Chris could tackle a number of other jobs around the garden so we have already contracted for more of his valuable time. Cannot recommend him high enough.”

“Claire of Iron Butterfly Design is an exceptional garden designer with a fabulous eye for detail as well as deep knowledge and expertise about plants. She is clearly passionate about her work and this shines through in her work ethic and dedication to the job. We were very fortunate to find Claire last year (our garden is the Childs Hill courtyard garden featured on her website) when we were doing major renovation work and she immediately stood out from other garden designers we interviewed . Not only was her fee very reasonable, she was also happy to work to our budget and tailor the project to our requirements. She came up with a fantastic design that would work in our tricky awkward-shaped garden and she was patient when explaining things to us (complete garden novices). She was always respectful of our preferences while at the same time not being afraid to give advice and feedback. Claire sourced and spec-ed hard and soft landscaping materials for us, designed custom built-in storage benches and presented her designs beautifully, with great attention to detail. She was 100% reliable and punctual, very resourceful in finding alternatives if we asked her to, and very flexible. She was also very considerate of our house and ensured that it remained clean - no mean feat when carrying plants, compost etc through the living room! Claire totally transformed our back garden from a drab and depressing space to a beautiful zen-like courtyard retreat. It is now our favourite space in the house. Claire is now based in Bristol but lucky for us, she still recently found the time to come back all the way to London to do some maintenance work on our garden, as well as transform our front garden too ! We think her willingness to go the extra mile says it all. Friends and family who come to visit always ask us who designed our garden. Not only is Claire a talented, reliable and hardworking garden designer, she's also a lovely, friendly and approachable person! We can't recommend her highly enough.”

“We called on Ruth for help to turn part of our unused south facing driveway into a small garden space. We wanted privacy, but at the same time didn't want to create a bleak barrier to the surrounding neighbours. Ruth's design blew us away and we knew from the offset that she got us. We were lucky enough to be able to do the work ourselves, but Ruth has been with us all the way - troubleshooting effectively when needed and encouraging us with her enthusiasm for the project. The outcome is a stunning, private, contemporary sun trap that we use every day. We can't recommend Ruth highly enough.”

“We wanted to turn our garden into a relaxing space, that offered privacy from neighbouring properties. From our very first consultation with Ann, I felt completely at ease that we would be delighted with the end result. She took time to probe our high level thinking and really explore what we wanted to use our garden for, from entertaining and barbecues, to relaxation, and even what wildlife we wanted to attract. Ann took soil samples and went through in some detail what plants we wanted, and whether we wanted a garden that required a lot or little maintenance. She made it clear that she wanted to create a garden that integrated with our lifestyle. We discussed budget and timescales openly, which for us meant a design that we could implement in stages over a 3-4 year period. Ann worked very quickly and in just a couple of weeks she delivered the outline design to us in person taking the time to talk though her design and thinking. It took us by surprise, in a positive way. It defined a very creative use of what is a relatively large (but sloped) space, and incorporated all of the requirements we had specified, and on top of that had a 'wow' factor, that we could never have imagined. Over the next few weeks, Ann firmed up the design and provided several other views including construction plans for the landscapers to use, and planting plans. Each phase had an estimated costing, so we can understand clearly what we are heading into. We're massively excited about implementing Ann's design and watching it come together to transform our home life. Throughout the whole design process Ann was attentive, extremely personable, and her passion for her work was both obvious and engaging. The end result is beyond anything we imagined. I thoroughly recommend her garden design services. Andrew”
