My vision was to have walls that were made of a natural substance, that showed texture and energy with an artistic flare. The exposed concrete walls we were expecting in our new condo had been covered in a cement-like substance that did not come anywhere close to my vision. The depth, texture, colour and uniqueness had been completely covered and changed to a dull, plain, one-dimensional covering. I now have walls and columns that are the feature of each room. Each one is unique from the other. All have colour, dimension, depth, and organic texture in a safe, natural product. Everything from the look, the feel and the aroma are beautiful. It’s always a concern when working with a contractor or when commissioning an artistic piece, that there will be difficulty in communicating expectations or reaching a solid understanding of what I hope to see in the finished product. After my first meeting with Patrick, I felt I had been heard and that he would carefully apply his skill and artistic talents to my project. He seemed to understand me immediately. I felt a real sense of awe with what Patrick created for me in my home. My expectations were exceeded. I love my limestone plaster. They make a beautiful and unique statement. Patrick demonstrated strong integrity in his work. No short cuts were taken. Every question was answered. Patrick brought his A game every day. I know of no other person with Patrick’s skill in plaster work. He was very flexible, although I must say, I did not interfere with his creative process. We provided the space to work in, the colours of the plaster and our expectation that the work would show depth and energy. Patrick did the rest! “Jennifer Carr Painting repainted the entire exterior of our house and detached garage. They also painted a number of interior rooms and ceilings. Our experience was very good. The owner of the company came by promptly when called for a quote, asked a lot of questions, made copious notes, and took numerous photographs. She was very professional and pleasant to deal with. A detailed quotation was submitted in short order. The company showed up on the agreed date and the company owner personally supervised the entire job which took a number of weeks. The employees were friendly, professional, and respectful. I was very impressed with their organization, thoroughness, and attention to detail. A complete description of the work was posted onsite for the duration of the project. They spent a lot more effort than I anticipated preparing and repairing the surfaces prior to actually painting them. It's refreshing to see that kind of commitment to quality even on parts of the job that won't be visible after the job is done. This was clearly a team that worked together often and well. The entire site was clean when they left. The owner returned after the job was complete and reviewed the entire job with us to ensure we were satisfied.
