With a 160-year-old family heritage in fragrances, we are a fine fragrance house and boutique candle curator based in Sydney. It is our belief that the sense of smell is the most powerful trigger of memory and having a signature scent allows people to augment their emotions to a beautifully nostalgic experience. We understand scent ambience and celebrate the uniqueness of every space large or small. Since 1855, the Attarwala family has been creating artistic and exclusive fragrance blends. Now, as the heirloom passes down to the youngest son of the 4th generation, it is our responsibility to continue adding to the pages of family history. Thus, we chose the best medium to showcase the most exotic fragrances from around the world. The world knows them as ‘candles’ but we call these works of art ‘Mombatis’ which literally translates into 'wax lights'. We began our journey by handpicking the best fragrance notes from the most exotic locations in the world to create our signature blends. Our vision is to fuse our knowledge of fragrances with the art of chandlers, soapers and cosmetics manufacturers to present the most amazing product experience for our customers. The Mombati Company was founded by Abdul and Naqiyah Attarwala to envisage their dream of carrying the torch of family tradition.
