“I was hired by landowners to design a custom home for them in Alaska-and my practice is in Oregon. I was not going to be able to visit the site while the home was under construction, and because I had worked on projects remotely in the past, I knew how important finding the right contractor was for all parties involved. After many recommendations for Wirtanen Inc, they were selected; and although they are a design-build company and had never worked with an architect before, Steven was enthusiastic. As the project got underway I was in regular contact with Steven and his Project Manager, Grant. They weren’t averse to using the specified materials and methods that were atypical to them, and I realized that any concerns I had about potential problems disappeared. Using a team approach that I am used to, questions came to me in a timely, unhurried manner - many times with photos attached. Wirtanen is a truly detail-oriented company that builds high-quality and highly efficient homes. The only complaint I have about Wirtanen, Inc is that they aren’t located in Oregon!”

“We had a wonderful,pleasant and enjoyable experience with our complete kitchen remodel with Adam Hartig and KM. Adam was a good listener to what we wanted done and we had complete confidence in him. He gave us quite a few options but also was thoughtful of our budget goals. The work was done in a timely fashion and with minimal disruption or mess. We also had our windows replaced at the same time and KM accomodated us for which we were grateful. We just love our cabinet with the "garage", a rollaway where we could keep our chargers,papers etc. It really makes our kitchen look so neat. Every single detail made by Adam was really just what we needed! Especially the outlet on the side of our counter where I could easily set up my Kitchen Aid mixer and Cuisinart when needed, instead of lugging them up from other places:). Thanks to Adam and KM, we are totally enjoying our kitchen and for making this such a great experience.”

“Big street construction repaired our home after a devastating freeze up! Everyone within the company was professional and efficient. The mitigation and repairs were completed on schedule and, most importantly, with compassion. Anytime we called, for any reason, we were acknowledged, respected, and answered. The billing and insurance chaos was handled effectively by the accounting office. We were able to communicate with NP Utilities and GVEA, in conjunction with Big Street Construction, in order to expidite the repairs and return to the market. When we sold the home, the housing inspection repairs were immediately turned to Big Street Construction. If anyone needs mitigation and/or repairs, We recommend Big Street Construction without reservation.”
