“After interviewing several general contractors to do an extensive remodel of our 1950s ranch home designed by architect Sophie Piesse, we selected Larry and Susan from New Dimension Construction. The project began in Nov 2015 and was completed in the Spring of 2016. We tore out walls to make open spaces, completely redid the kitchen and bathroom, upgraded the electrical, plumbing, and insulation, added a new roof, windows, and walls, etc. Throughout the project, we knew what work would be completed each week, what decisions we needed to make, and where we were with the schedule. Susan and Larry were great at communicating regarding different choices and the cost for each. There were no price surprises on this job. The worksite was kept clean and neat which was important as we lived in part of the home during most of the renovation (except for when the HVAC and flooring was installed) using a temporary kitchen. The crew was a pleasure to have around. Larry was extremely knowledgable and brought great subcontractors to the job. As always during construction, we ran into some unexpected issues> Each time New Dimension Construction efficiently and expeditiously helped us find a good solution and move forward. We think the quality of the work is exceptional. There is nothing we would change about the project.”

“Preferred Building did a great job repairing damage done to our house by tenants and preparing it for sale. This involved matching wood, stain and construction methods to the conditions of our unusual home in Chapel Hill. Michael Tyrell is a very bright, organized individual experienced in house renovations and repairs. He is also a very personable young man. In addition to doing everything we asked, he had some great ideas for making the house show better when we sold it. He and his workmen took off their shoes on entering the house and treated it and us with great care. We were very very happy with his work”

“I was referred to Westpoint Designs by a colleague who had used them in the past. I had just bought a new house in Delaware and needed to remodel and change the decor to my taste and standard. Mr. Germain, the principal designer and owner of the company was prompt in meeting with me even though he had to travel from NC. His design ideas and contemporary modern taste fascinated me which made me hire them on the spot. Needless to say I'm completely blown away by the design and execution from beginning to finish.
