“Thayer Construction was super helpful getting the house I recently moved to ready to live in. Jared completed a number of projects on my house, including painting, stabilizing loose stairs, installing new faucets and towel bars, making and installing a missing screen, sealing a hole in the outside wall,putting in missing closet doors, and more. As a bonus, he even picked up and assembled a new office chair from a nearby store. Jared has a range of excellent construction skills, and will consult with other experts on tricky repairs to make sure it's done right the first time. His charges are also reasonable and he is definitely reliable.”

“We have done 3 remodeling projects with Henderer Design + Build. The first one was a major remodel from roof to lower level, including the kitchen, changing wall locations, just about everything. It was finished on time, beautifully done, by workers who were a pleasure to have in our home - daily for 3+ months. Our first experience was so excellent, that we chose Henderer again to remodel the upstairs bathroom - it's gorgeous and very functional. On each remodel, Mary Turney was outstanding in helping us find the right colors, tile, etc. - we'd still be trying to figure that out if she hadn't encouraged us along the way. So for our third remodel Henderer added on an entryway to our home, and coordinated fencing, concrete and stonework leading up to the house and on the driveway. It changes the whole impression of our home! I cannot recommend them highly enough.”

He has a consistently positive, up-beat attitude on and off the job site. He has had several homes win in "tour of homes" in our area. Jeff has been very easy to work with, making suggestions but always letting us make the final decision. Jeff works hard to stay in budget and meet deadlines to the best of his ability. He's never pushy nor has a know-it-all attitude. The sub-contractors are very professional, also, and have done excellent work. “My third project is about to begin. To date, B and W has built us a 40x36 RV storage shed, completely remodeled my kitchen/living/dining/pantry from the studs up (1 huge room with a central "x" divider) and currently heading into a large main bathroom. When this one is completed, they will do the bathroom in our master suite. Professional, easy to work with, excellent work! Every deadline for each project was met, sometimes below budget! Please check their website for before/after photos of our now fabulous kitchen as their professional photos are so much better than mine! We had bids each time from at least 4 other builders. While they were not the least expensive, they were the ONLY company that followed through with designs, estimates & a proper contract. During working hours there was always someone available to speak with”

“We had hired Karen for a few individual projects (bath, laundry) over the years but when we decided to renovate a 40 year old home there was no question that we would select Karen Wright to be our general contractor. During a booming housing market in our region it was impressive that Karen was able to line up all of the appropriate sub-contractors during the busy summer season. We managed through some unforeseen obstacles that Karen was able to solve. We finished on time and our progress calendar was updated weekly. Excellent communication and follow up on all details. We love our new home and have enjoyed inviting friends to see what she has given us.”

“Kirk Design and Construction took our original two small bathrooms (which together formed an L-shape) and our horizontally-oriented bedroom closet (enclosed by that L) down to nearly nothing. Into the existing rectangular footprint, they designed and built a flexible bathroom suite and a beautiful walk-in closet. Emma's layout design radically improves the traffic flow of the house and the use of space--not to mention its beauty. Construction is solid and very high quality. Joel (and employed carpenters) considered all eventual points of weight and stress and framed in support accordingly. Joel had mapped out an eight-week construction timeline, and the project proceeded on schedule. There were no surprise expenses. The atmosphere onsite was always friendly, approachable, and professional. I feel that's it noteworthy that for two Willamette Valley winter months, we used a portajohn out front and showered at the gym--and even considering that, I enjoyed having the crew at the house. I always felt safe, respected, and at ease with them here. I did not take pictures mid-construction on this project. Wide-angle professional photographs of the completed project are on Kirk's website under "Bathroom Squared." I include here "before" and "after" layouts to demonstrate Emma's creative and smart use of space. I also include a couple of snapshots: one of the awesome walk-in closet--notice the nook in the lower right--and one of the powder-room loo attached to the half-wall opposite the closet's nook. The powder room picture also shows two of the three space-efficient pocket doors--the middle one locking from either side.”
