“Repaired a number of issues with the exterior of our house including rotted sofet and replaced the asphalt roof on our porch with a rubber roof (the roof was done by a sub I believe). “Escala Construction has completed several projects for us over the past few years, including carpentry, roofing, plastering and painting. Work has been of the highest quality (and as a retired architect, I can be very particular about work done on my home), and the crews have been prompt, courteous and neat. For one project, they restored historic woodwork on our home's exterior, taking great care to match the period detailing exactly, and at another time, after we suffered roof damage from a severe storm, they were here right away and had the roof weathertight the next day. Older homes like ours always need work on one thing or another, and we will continue to rely on Escala Construction.”

“Fresh Start was excellent to work with from start to finish. They ordered a gorgeous reclaimed Heart Pine floor in our #1 Quartersawn grade for a high-end renovation job in Harvard Square. The job was well-organized and the schedule was budgeted appropriately to allow for flooring acclimation and installation times. Jobsite was neat and orderly and delivery was organized/executed well, despite the extremely narrow side street and tight driveways of the neighborhood. From start to finish, Fresh Start was easy to work with. They knew how to plan for and work with a high-end finish product and treated it and us with respect. Our experience working with them to patch historic white pine and Heart Pine floors in the area has been similar. We recommend their work to clients in the Boston area.”
