“I have worked with Steve three times. Two of those projects were complete gut and remodel jobs where more than 75% of the house was being reconfigured. He is wonderful to collaborate with. If you know specifically what you want, he can execute that, of course, but where he really shines is if you want someone to bounce ideas off who can bring a lot of his own ideas to the table as well, making your project become all it can possibly be. He is really as much artist as contractor, and creative enough to work within any reasonable budget to create something special. He is especially adept at rustic designs and anything which benefits from looking hand-tooled, although he can do everything from craftsman to mid-century modern and beyond. Mention what style you're looking for and he'll likely show up to bid with two or three books on the subject with photos to discuss. Again, if you enjoy collaboration, he's your guy.”

“We just bought a house and it needed a big refresh. We just had AGS did 2 bathroom remodels, a kitchen island countertop reno, and a full house paint job. Among the quotes we received AGS ran lower than most and matched one other contractor. We ultimately chose AGS because their timeline estimate was faster than the other. Our whole project took about 2 months Staff/Team: The crew we worked with were Alfredo Sr (lead), Gustavo, Alfredo Jr (aka Freddy), Ernie, Berto, Nacho, Efriam, and I’m sure I’m forgetting some. The entire team was very kind, polite, and always made sure what they were doing was what we wanted. They were honest in their advice and never pressured us into doing something we didn’t feel like doing. There were no surprise fees at the end and luckily no major issues in our home to cause any major delays. Bathrooms: We completely gutted both bathrooms and had AGS redo the shower areas. Our bathrooms are the modern large format grey tile with ledge (master) and blue vertical tile with 1 grey tile wall (guest) in the photos. I LOVE our master bathroom. It makes me so happy every time I walk in. We are waiting on our glass from another vendor which is why you don’t see it in the photo. The guest bathroom also looks fantastic and such an upgrade from before. Kitchen Island: We asked so many contractors if they would be able to rotate the existing island 90 degrees and AGS were maybe 1 of two people who said they could do it. Along with the rotation, we had them replace the granite countertop with a new one. They successful made the rotation without damaging the cabinet boxes (our biggest concern) and we love our new island! It’s my favorite thing in the house. They even were able to get us a discount on our slab using their contractor’s license! Paint: The painting was doing pretty much in a week. We kept it simple and had the whole house painted the same color. Walls in one finish and then doors and trim in a different finish. Oh and ceilings too in flat white. Overall it was a pretty good job but there were some areas that needed better patchwork. We sent out comments over to the team and Alfredo/Ernie came out to inspect the work and agreed it was not to their standard. They fixed all the areas they next time they came out. All and all we really enjoyed working with AGS and didn’t have any major issues. Highly recommend to at least reach out to get some info! My only piece of advice is to make sure you have all (or as many) finished work choices picked out before so you aren’t scrambling to find the pieces as they get ready for them.”
