“Our project involved the conversion of a conservatory into a more habitable room with new foundations. a full glass-doored front and Velux windows. Milestone were courteous, prompt and carried out all their pre-planning and construction duties in a very professional and competent manner. They coordinated the work of several trades during the build and were always available to deal with any questions and issues we might have had. The work was completed to time and budget and we are delighted with the result.”

“Recently had Rachael and Justine help us with a downstairs redesign and extension. Absolute joy to work with. Glad we got them in at the same time as the kitchen designer as we ended up reworking our kitchen plans because they talked us through how we would actually use that space and how our furniture was going to fit in etc. Really pleased with the final result!”

“Sturman & Co have just completed the re-styling of our lounge and dining room and we are delighted with the results! They have completely transformed the rooms, which now look so much more inviting, make much better use of the space and just make us happier to be in them. I knew the look and feel that I wanted for the rooms but didn't really know how to achieve it. Bess was brilliant at transforming my Pinterest boards of various rooms I liked into a scheme that would work in our home. She was really easy to work with and was great at presenting different options until we were happy with the design and furnishings (she has a great suppliers list and knowledge of different products available). Sturman & Co provided great design ideas and just the right amount of guidance so we felt we definitely made the decisions on the project but just with expert design advice and a nudge in the right direction when appropriate! The project management service Bess and her team provided was invaluable as they co-ordinated all the suppliers and, best of all, dealt with any problems that arose along the way so we had no headaches at all. They use first-rate suppliers, communicated well with these and with us so we were updated about any snags that they were sorting and ensured that everything was completed on schedule. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sturman & Co’s services - they are very approachable, lovely to work with - very creative designers but also pragmatic and professional so the project was completed on time and on budget.”

“We bought a new house and wanted a 2 storey extension on the side of the house and extending out the kitchen and lounge at the back of the house. A friend recommended Julian and in turn Julian recommended pretty much every type of contractor and professional we would need to complete our project. This was really helpful as sourcing a reputable architect, structural engineer, quantity surveyor and a team of specialists was a daunting task and not something we expected of Julian. One of the most reassuring parts of the planning phase is how Julian set our budget expectations. This became very apparent very quickly because the other people we initially approached at the same time as Julian pretty much told us what we wanted to hear, whereas Julian took a much more realistic approach. It was an easy choice to go ahead with Julian and we did not regret that decision. He managed all aspects of the project, start to finish and the results are exceptional. We have no hesitation in recommending Julian and JNR Construction.”

Any major building work carried out at your home is challenging and long. The decision to employ a building company is also a risk. However, from day one of meeting Jon, my husband and I agreed that this is the company we want to work with. Once the team were there, they sprang into action, we felt we were in good hands.
