The team was fully transparent from the beginning to the end with all costs, issues they foresaw arising later on, and with the timeline. From the inception of my townhouse project through to completion, it was an absolute ease. Avant-Garde Contracting has managed to turn construction in NYC into something that isn't a nightmare for homeowners. By Avant-Garde Contracting having a design team and a construction team working hand in hand; this allowed the team to stay within budget while delivering the results I expected from my meeting with the design team. Avant-Garde Contracting is the product of the upcoming generation bringing their experiences and talents into an old industry where you often hear horror stories and experiences, especially in the NYC area. “We have used Monks several times. Our most recent project involved refinishing our floors and painting some inside of our house. These guys answer their phones, show up on time and give you a quote on their first visit. Then they started on time and finished on time. They weren't the cheapest way to go, but they were the only company I found that could handle the painting, floors and carpentry without subbing everything out. We felt it was worth the money to have one company running the entire project and we were right.”

“We hired HAP Construction for a complete renovation of my apartment. From start, to finish both Eli and the team was always honest with what could and could not be done. They are amazing and extremely knowledgeable. They were always readily available and responsive to any questions or change requests. I received detailed status updates along with pictures as the work progressed. They are the real deal, prompt, professional, and honest. I would highly recommend them for any renovations needed in your home.”

“Dino installed our kitchen cabinets with perfect precision and detail. He built our island beautifully like a piece of furniture. He sat with us through the entire kitchen design to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and that all designs made sense with functionality and fit. He often followed up with vendors to ensure we got what we paid for and received the best finished product. Dino was a great liaison for us to source the right products and subcontractors, we are not in the construction business and this was our first home and renovation. He spent all the time we needed with us and we never felt rushed. He completed our project down to last detail before moving onto his next job. We felt we could then and still can call him anytime with questions.”
