Ribble Reclamation

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars3 February 2015
“We purchased 35sq m of thin reclaimed York stone flags from Ribble Reclamation last year for our Kitchen floor. We have a traditional house with a modern kitchen. We visited the yard to view various types of stone laid and decided to go for a mixture of grey and buff stone. It was definitely worth a visit as we changed our mind of which type of stone to go for after seeing it laid. There were lots of other interesting things in the yard, we also came away with a vintage cast Iron postbox. The flags were sent with a plan for laying which our builder said was very useful. Unfortunately one the pieces of stone arrived cracked, but Ribble sent a replacement stone which arrived next day. We would definitely recommend Ribble .”
Carters Building Consultancy

“I would highly recommend Carter’s building consultancy. Not only has Harry been absolutely fantastic in his approach, but he has given some amazing design ideas. I wouldn’t say the process has been easy but going through the process with Harry who has stuck by our side throughout the difficult ups and downs has made it all the more worth it. The constant nagging from us, the constant out of hours calls to him and his approach to it all has been the same (outstanding) throughout. What an extremely talented person and company that we are privileged to have help build our homes. Thank you”

“Lords completely remodelled my kitchen and 2 bathrooms and we are delighted with the results. They got the job because of Mark Lord's great ideas about the layout of the kitchen which no one else had come up with. The kitchen layout is practical and easy to work in as well as looking good. The Lords team co ordinated the whole process and put up with my last minute changes with infinite patience. I highly recommend them.”

“Quoinstone Homes is a company run to exacting standards. The company concentrates on quality but with an eye to economics. They create environments for living in which have provided us with years of continuing enjoyment. When friends visit they cannot believe how long th house has been built for because the quality of the finishing is robust. Un prompted they comment on this aspect and we have lists of guests who want to keep coming back. It is often said that this particular house/home is far better a standard than even the best hotels can offer. Don't hesitate rouse them.”
Fortis Construction & Development

“We recently bought a 5 bed property that was in desperate need of renovation. Within a 3 month window and through national lockdown this company have managed to stick to tight timescales, source alternative products when deliveries failed and have constantly chased up product providers to ensure the least amount of stress and impact to my family and home. My friends and family have been wowed by my statement kitchen and especially the roll-top bath in the master that FortisConstruction&Development have made possible. The workmen used by this company have been outstanding, to the extent of bespoke skirting boards being made to complete the look of our victorian home and a unique light fitting both of which were not on the jobs list but due to the passion for detail from mick the builder made all the difference. The quality and attention to detail is 2nd to none and I will trust FortisConstruction&Development with any future work needed in the coming years. We went with this company due to their initial quote but we have had so much more for our money through service, advice and trustworthy teams. The biggest plus I found was I was able to let the project be managed with very little impact needed from me other than design choices which is great when you work full time. Thanks Mick & Matt it's been a pleasure.”

“We own several buy to let properties in the north and south of England UK. Throughout the years, we have hired and worked with all aspects of the building trade, engaging and contracting contractors for the purpose of maintaining, renovating and extending the above mentioned properties. Our office, is located in the south east of England. liaising with contractors in the remote north, often presents problems in terms of communication and inspection of the works as they are undertaken by the contracted workforce. Earlier this year, one of our properties became vacant which presented the perfect opportunity to redecorate and renovate the property to a higher standard. The scope of works required complete renovation of the bathroom. The upstairs bedroom walls needed to be replastered and redecorated throughout. Downstairs, the kitchen area, required new units to be refitted. Upon removal of the old kitchen units, the existing plaster on the walls and the ceiling were found to be in a poor state. Usually this would present an issue with the cost of the project and hinder the progression of the completion handover date. The aditional works were carried out without the drama that often accompanies variations and in addition to the above, we received suggestions of how at minimal cost, we could make adustments to the interior of the kitchen area to increase the utility of the area to make the best use of the available space. The result of the works, resulted the kitchen area, becoming a feature of the downstairs living area. All additional works were carried out and ahcieved by the tradesmen working longer days and the hand over the property completed on time. In summary, I can state here, that the level of service and works provided by W.C Hartley, were of the highest standard. In addition, the advice we received and chose to implement into the works at minimal cost maximised the potential of the renovation. I have no hesitation in recommending the services of W.C Hartley and his team of hard working colleagues. I found their services to be highly competent and extremely trustworthy. We have of course invited W.C Hartley to tender for other works we have planned for the near future. It is rare to find a company, who are in fact a delight to work with. Thank you.”
