“Maria assisted us with our Grade II listed loft conversion. We were delighted with the quality of her work and attention to detail. She helped us through every stage of planning our loft conversion, from the initial designs to liaising with builder and structural engineers and producing our application for planning permission. We were impressed with the standard of her work, the speed at which she responded to our requests and the fact that she understood what we wanted from our loft conversion and was able to offer us practical and elegant solutions with the final design.”

“HM Construction built our contemporary, eco friendly home. The build straddled one of the wettest winters on record and the 2020 Covid 19 lock down. Despite this they delivered our home from start to finish within 12 months which was an incredible performance. One of our neighbours who is a builder himself said he had never seen such a professional, hard working team. Phil and Lee, the owners of HM are a delight to work with. They have significant experience is specifying and managing jobs and present very realistic timetables and fair budgets. They also do not inflate prices for extras but work within the spirit of the contract. They keep you well informed throughout the process. Their team, which is a mixture of direct employees and sub-contractors are all delightful. They were very fair with the snagging - and were flexible in working around our plans. I have no hesitation at all about highly recommending HM for any bespoke construction work. The whole experience from start to end was an absolute pleasure.”

“I am an Architect and have used Ray Jones Building Solutions on many projects over the last 10 years, from small kitchen extensions to larger house developments. Ray is a breath of fresh air in the construction Industry. His work is of the highest standard, and that is saying a lot coming from a picky perfectionist Architect! He is a genuine, honest and an overall great guy, to have in your home. His knowledge of the building trade is second to none and he is passionate about what he creates. He cares. I would have absolutely no problem in wholeheartedly recommending him and his team to anyone...... I just wish all contractors were as easy to work with as Ray and his team ! “Having never undertaken building work before, we entered the process with some trepidation. A colleague strongly recommended HighSpec and from the outset it was clear they were the most professional of the 3 quoting companies. There was a very personal touch in Andrew’s meetings . We weren’t rushed at all and he was happy to guide us through the various complexities. The quote was clear and not littered with “provisional sums” seen in other estimates. This gave us confidence in choosing them. Ultimately the work did not increase in cost throughout the full 6 month project, apart from some additions we chose to make along the way (including underfloor bathroom heating – highly recommended!) We had extensive work done – a full loft conversion with en suite, and 2 additional bathrooms, plus new plumbing and electrics throughout. At all times, the whole team from HighSpec were friendly and respectful. We had a very open working relationship, in which we invited them to give views on our ideas, based on their experience. It was genuinely enjoyable having them in the house. They were great with our kids, and a pleasure to chat to during breaks in ours and their working schedules. We never once saw them start late, or down tools early. Hassan, Dave and Alex are clearly excellent craftsmen. We appreciated their perfectionism and attention to detail. The inbuilt storage solution made from dismantled”

“Nicky and the team were so respectful of my needs and my obsession for it to be a clean job as I hate mess! We invited more than 7 or 8 builders to give us a quote for our one storey extension and we'd made up our minds within 30 seconds that most of them weren't the right builders for us. With Nicky, it was the opposite and we knew from the off that he was the right builder. He was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and above all a perfectionist which clearly came across, and nothing less than a perfect job would do for him. Nicky gave us confidence and delivered on his promises, was reliable (very rare in this trade!) and throughout the whole process he kept us updated, explained what was going on and only charged us as each stage of the process was completed with a clear breakdown. He went out of his way on several occasions to save us money (he's as honest as the day is long) and finished the job on time to an exceptional standard. I honestly can't recommend him enough. Tradesmen like Nicky and his fantastic team really are rare diamonds and if you use them, you won't be disappointed.”
