“Hi :) my name is Annabelle and we are from Sunnyvale California, I just finished a new renovation, and I would like to share with you guys my wonderful experience, we started the process with a lot of fears because of previous experience that we had with another contractor two years ago, from the first meeting with Asi, me and my husband felt the honesty and integrity right away, we describe to her what we would like to achieve in our kitchen remodeling project and together with ideas that came from her designer we decided on the final layout, We needed a new kitchen renovation for our home ASAP, we are all working from home, my husband and I and our older daughter, and the kitchen became much more important, it was very surprising but we succeeded to pass all the inspections on time, The communication part was great, personally I preferred to communicate with Asi directly but they are working with a personal online portal that some people will find useful, we needed a few times that Asi will come to us to discuss on a few changes and we always felt comfortable to share with her our concerns and ideas, and eventually we are very satisfied from the end result!”

Zayer Quality Construction
Stanford, CA Renovation Contractors
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars11 July 2016
“In 2011, Zayer Quality Construction did a major remodel of our 35 year old house in San Jose. Areas remodeled include: Kitchen, Family Room, Front Entry Hall, Dining Room, and Living Room. The kitchen was a total gut job to the studs. Walls were removed to create a more open area, one of them load bearing. In preparation for the remodel, Ed assisted with material selection. Before the job started, he met with us at a number of material suppliers to help us select the following: Tile, Floor, Moldings, Windows... Ed does not run multiple jobs concurrently. Ed, his staff, and subcontractors were on time every day. The overall job went very smoothly. It is beneficial to have all major material selections completed before the start of demolition. Once demolition starts, the job moves very quickly. The kitchen started out as a U shape with peninsula. We wanted an L shape with an island. I did the preliminary CAD work laying out our proposed kitchen. Ed brought in his designer to help us with the details. She provided very good advice in many areas and generated the final set of drawings for the kitchen and bar areas. For the cabinetry, we did not want factory built cabinets. We wanted full custom cabinets. This gave us great flexibility in the design. Ed had connections with a local cabinet shop that did an excellent job building, finishing, and installing the cabinets. The granite counter top measuring and installation went very smoothly and on schedule. For electrical work, there were a number of major improvements. We greatly expanded the number of separate circuits coming into the house so every major appliance has its own breaker. We also have two GFI protected 20A circuits for the kitchen outlets. We were early adopters of LED recessed lighting. Ed and his crew did an excellent job with light placement and lighting control. LED pendant lights were used over the island. Some aluminum wire was removed and replaced with copper. No more overloaded circuits. An outdoor outlet was also added for our patio area. The house is much safer now compared to what it was. Gas was plumbed to the stove area, as we wanted a Gas cook top with an electric oven. Hardwood flooring was installed in the remodeled areas. As with any job this size, you will run into some unexpected situations. When we were replacing the 8' sliding door, we found the framed opening was under size for the new door. Ed quickly responded with a proper re-framing of the door opening with a new longer header. As the job was coming to completion, Ed's crew did a very nice job of Texturing, Crown Molds, Case Molds, Baseboards, and Painting. As customers go, I am probably a little more difficult than others for contractors. I am an engineer with some building experience and in some areas have some pretty tough requirements. Ed was able to work with me and propose solutions that met or exceeded requirements. Overall, the wife and I are very happy with the outcome of our remodel project. As our friends came over to see the results of the remodel, we got many "Wows". We will probably be re-engaging with Ed for future projects.”

Mayer's Construction and Remodeling
Stanford, CA Renovation Contractors
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars4 December 2022
“Great experience, high value, very reliable and best crew we ever worked with. Mayer’s construction did a home remodeling for us during the last 6 months. It has been a big home remodel for us that took design and build as well. After months spending finding the right company for us, we have choose to work with Mike & Nathan Mayer from Mayer’s construction. A week after finalizing contract we started working with Su & Luis both company’s architect and engineer. We worked on the new plans we agreed and wanted at first and started to have architect drawings ready, when we got into engineering process, both Mayer’s construction and us didn’t know we were suppose to redone so much of the existing footings and reinforce of additional walls as 20 years ago we did a 2nd story addition that was probably made poorly and unprofessional. They were extremely kind and helpful and kept the price as we agreed on and didn’t changed a thing. The plan process and measurements took about a month or so, and finally we were able to submit the plans to the city of San Jose. After getting the permits done and job card set ( overall 5 months of waiting / SJ is a pretty busy city) we got into work schedule and been ready to move out as the entire home going to be demolished. Mike was very organized both managing and scheduling the team, rough materials arrivals, and to us to be fully briefed with details and what we need and when. The process of work was great and on timeline , city did changed a lot during this time period with their inspection delays but it didn’t interrupt with our schedule or timeline due to great management ahead. We just finished our work and we absolutely in love with our new home! New flooring throughout, new kitchen, new bathrooms, complete open floor plan, new stair case, new rooms reconfigured, new paint, new texture, new windows and sliding doors throughout, all new plumbing and electrical. A brand new and beautiful home we got thanks to Mayer’s construction and the team, Mike, Nathan, Raul, Jose and many more who had a added value and did this work absolute best.”
Inspired Builders

“I worked with Inspired builders on my master bathroom remodeling back in 2021. I met David the project manager at the first meeting and he was very professional and honest. The estimate was very reasonable and fair, so after interviewing several companies I hired David and Inspired builders. We started with design, the designer was very thorough helping me choose my tiles and fixtures and took care of the permitting. David was often in my house running the project along with Antony the foreman and the crew. They were very professional and clean making sure my bed cloths are covered and protected. The project turned out exactly as I imagined and I am enjoying my new bathroom every day. I am planning to remodel my second bath next year and I will definitely call David again. Highly recommended!!”
Timeline Design + Build

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars22 September 2012
“Timeline Design designed and build our 6,000 sq ft house. They took our ideas and made them better. As the project progressed they improved the design and solved problems as the reality of the construction unveiled ways to make it better or address issues. This was done as a matter of course, not as a way to jack up the price through change orders. Most of these changes did, in fact, not change the price. Some did require extra or different materials or effort but these only added T&M charges. We are still delighted with our house 7 years after it was completed. Timeline Design still sends people out to fix or address any issues we have as they arise. Timeline Design is an honest, committed and talented designer/builder. I can't recommend them high enough!”
EBCON Corporation
Stanford, CA Renovation Contractors
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars13 July 2014
“Finding a contractor you trust and one that does great quality work seems harder than it should be. Fortunately we were recommended to Erik and Ebcon by a woman who was helping us think through some work we needed done on our home that included lighting, painting, plumbing and creating a new "man cave" in our basement. From our first meeting we were impressed. We have now been working with Ebcon on several projects for the past 2 years and are thoroughly pleased with the work his team has delivered. Erik and his team put a very personal touch and a high degree of care in their work which included weekly face to face meetings to review work and progress and discuss the inevitable changes or unexpected issues that pop up as work begins. Ebcon has repeatedly met and in some cases exceeded our needs and the high touch high communication has been great at identifying issues quickly and collaboratively resolving them. Since my wife and I lead busy lives, Erik has always found a way to pick times even super early in the morning to come by and have our regular updates and discussions. I highly recommend Erik if you are looking for a great team that does top notch work and keeps you very close to what is happening and strives to give you exactly what you want. They are super. Some of the work Erik did in our home is featured on his site today under "Whitaker"”
Level Up Home Remodeling Inc

“Our recent home project included the complete remodeling of the kitchen, 3 bathrooms and wet bar. My husband and I decided on Level up home remodeling following our due diligence process (having interviewed multiple contractor candidates) given the prior reviews, competitive proposal, and positive impressions following our discussions with Issac. Issac estimated 3 months to complete the project beginning in August 2016, and although there were the unknown but expected bumps in the road along the way during the project, was able to complete the job on a timely basis. Both quality of workmanship and timely completion of the job was important to us, and Issac and his team delivered on both counts. Those working on our project were hard working competent individuals, punctual, courteous and easy to engage in conversation. Issac was at our site on a daily basis both overseeing the project and hands on with regards to any task. He and his team provided professional, thoughtful and viable options and resolutions to each situation/issue as they arose. We have used other contractors in the past, but Level up home remodeling outperformed all the predecessors. We are pleased with the results and would not hesitate in bringing back Issac team for other construction projects going forward.”

“Tony and his team did an excellent job . They expanded my master bedroom including the bathroom and a walk in closet. I am not the easiest customer. I had so many questions, and Tony was patient with me every step of the way. They were very thorough and competitive. They were constantly updating me and going over the process . The entire experience was great!! Always on time with a great attitude. I want to say that I worked with a few general contractors over the years and it is difficult to find a good one that actually keeps you updated. If you are looking for a good contractor, look no further! I am very satisfied!!! Thank you Tony and Nuhome! -Clement”
