“In 2009 I purchased a 2 bedroom 30 year old Brick and Tile house north facing on the shores of the Panmure Lagoon. Unbeknownst to me at the time it had won house of the year when constructed all those years before! After living, (and as you do planning), in it a few years, I engaged Alpha 1 Builders carry out the extensive renovations which incorporated ; opening the house out, create two new levels and completely upgrade the house and fittings. All that was left after one week were the external walls. Wrapped in plastic the work began in earnest. Paul's attention to detail and planning meant the build was completed on time and on budget. Of course things changed during the build as they do, but this was made easy by the professional and trademan like care taken by all his staff. Alterations by myself to the original specifications were costed and approved before work was carried out so I never felt concern that the project was running away on me. When Paul suggested that he enter it in house of the year I was enthusiastic and then overjoyed to receive a gold medal. The finished product is a 4 Bedroom easy flowing house with three bathrooms, an enormous rumpus/theater room and open plan Kitchen/Dining and lounge area, opening onto a sweeping sun-drenched deck that displays unobstructed views of the water. Now after three years of living in our house we still enjoy it everyday and find it works well and flows naturally. It's not unusual to sit on one of the superb north facing decks sipping a Flat White gazing out over the waters and pondering the choice of going to work or,,, having another!”

“We hired Josh's company to build a new house for us. He started helping us while we were designing it with the architect. Nothing was too much of a bother for him. He was more than happy to discuss prices or alternative ideas throughout the build. Unlike other builders Josh wasn't opposed to building off the ground rather than on a concrete platform. The workmanship provided was excellent and the project was completed within the time frame advised at the beginning of the build and to a high standard without costing the earth. Josh project management skills were exceptional for a young tradesman. He ensured the sub-contractors timing and work was up to his standards throughout. Built Right NZ Ltd has also completed a number of other projects on our other properties before and after the new build. Ranging from house alterations, barn repairs, shed extensions, to a new shed. The work was always completed to a high standard and done efficiently. I would highly recommend Built Right NZ Ltd to anyone looking at a new build or renovations.”
