“I am absolutely delighted with the total professionalism of TS Design Studio. We have had in our family an old Captains chair that is over one hundred years old and which was badly in need of some help. All the legs had become unglued, the leather seat insert had long ago worn out and the general appearance was very tired. TS Design Studio gave us an honest opinion on the best way to restore our chair. Not wanting to opt for a modern foam and staple job, the chair was lovingly restored using similar methods and materials as those used by the original craftsman over one hundred years ago, the result was stunning and we are so thrilled with the finished work. TS Design Studio have a wealth of knowledge and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Tomasz: Thank you so much for all the passion you have shown during this restoration and for your understanding on just how much this chair meant to us as a family. “I had an idea for seating in our kitchen, but Simon Holding Upholstery brought it to life. I must say I didn’t expect it to be as brilliant as it is. To start, they created the frame for our banquette seating, which was made with precision – exactly to fit in the space. It wasn’t long before the entire banquette was upholstered and it was ready to install and fitted beautifully by Mike. So much care was taken from start to finish, overseen by Simon, with his eye for perfection and flair. I can’t recommend Simon Holding Upholstery enough. They were friendly, creative and produced our seating beyond expectations.”

“We first used Back from Black Beam Renovation on a project in Wheathampstead where a 15th Century crown post frame was covered in black tar and charred from previous fire damage. The finish is exceptional and extremely realistic to the extent that it actually looks better than timber which has been sandblasted.”

“The company I work for ordered commercial service from these guys, so I already knew they were professionals. What our family loved most, though, was how friendly and considerate the exterminator was when he arrived to deal with our mice problem. We have two little boys, so he had to be extra careful not to shove dead animals into their noses. The procedure went well though and the mice were all gone quite fast.”

“I got one of the Dodo cushions (though it was a tough choice - the owls and the dogs are really cute too) and I am so pleased with it and I've had several friends comment on how unusual it is - it's quite the talking piece. The fabric is really good quality and the stitching really impressed me - it feels like it will last a long time and will stand up to the stresses and strains of your average family sofa! I may just have to get my dodo a companion... :)”
