“Surface Solutions is a fantastic choice - I first encountered Mark when I was searching for a countertop professional to replace my counters in the kitchen and 3 bathrooms. Mark made me feel like a valued customer, and even went as far as to say he wanted to do what it took to earn my business. In today's day and age, someone who values each individual client is far and few between. Mark's shop in Mokena had a nice selection of granite, and he helped me pick one that would work based on the style of my cabinets. He was honest and upfront with me about each of the options I was deciding between, and even helped me choose sinks for each of the bathrooms & kitchen as well. Overall, I am extremely happy with the work that was done, and would recommend him to anyone!”

“RID Stone provided us a deal of a price on grey granite for our kitchen. It was not our first choice but the deal was too good to beat. The savings allowed us to upgrade to an enormous double sink that is industrial grade which they ordered for us at great savings. They were able to install with a very tight window. We ordered just over 2 weeks before thanksgiving and were superbly installed just in time for the holidays. The seams were expertly hidden and the measurements were very accurate, given our far from level 100 year old home.”

“We did a complete kitchen rehab. Chelsea was incredibly knowledgeable about which counter top materials would work best for us in our very active kitchen. We wanted marble and she educated us regarding the upkeep and possible scratches and etching marble would incur. She was obviously interested in our long-term happiness--a quality that is rare these days. In addition, we wanted a matte finish. She worked tirelessly finding all matte options so we could make the best decision. We decided on a matte white quartz with grey veining. The counter top material is gorgeous and we couldn't be more pleased with our selection. Her true interest in our project, along with her honesty and knowledge are the reasons we chose Prisma.”

“Had soapstone installed around perimeter of kitchen countertops a year ago - Mike and his staff were kind and easy to work with. This seems to be an "old school" type of business, but they really know their craft and materials. A corner broke off when installing, and this section was replaced without question. Maintenance has been minimal - I used Bee's Oil from Holland Bowl Mill maybe once every 1-2 months for first 6 months to keep stone dark (it mainly fades to gray a bit where cabinet lighting shines on it). Totally durable - I put hot pans and cookie sheets right on it, no problems with chipping. The light gray veining (with a hint of dark green) is gorgeous - a nice contrast to the marble we have on the island. A year later, I totally love it - no regrets whatsoever. Can't believe more people don't use soapstone! I highly recommend it!”
