Ceiling Color is Benjamin Moore Fresh Butter. We tinted the primer before painting. Paint finish is Pearl.

I recommend doing samples before using any paint color however. Colors change depending on their surroundings.

I'd paint it all (walls and trim) the same scrubbable, matte color. Probably a soft grey. One that compliments the cabinetry as well as the flooring. Best of luck, please post photos when complete!

To do it right, the finish will need to be removed, the color changed, and then the finish put on. Cost wise, I suspect you would be better off replacing all the wood rather than refinishing all the wood. Varnish is a painted on finish that will scrape off if a door is kicked or where wood is touched a lot. I suggest you embrace the home, it's really beautiful.

I think that ceilings can create a warm feeling if painted in a warm pastel colour or even bold black.. It all ties with your choice of furniture, rugs etc.
