Which closet system could i use?

I would like to paint my closet, change light fixture and get rid of the shelving. I removed all of my clothing,shoes and would like some ideas. Also, this is my master bedroom walk in closet.

I'm in love with The Container Store's Elfa System. Intuitive and easy to install, I keep putting it in not only client's homes, but my own home as well. It can hold a lot of weight, and I like the versatility of the system.

Lots of ways to arrange shelves, hooks, rods, etc. to make it work for you, and they offer free planning services in store to help make sure everything fits perfectly when you go to install it. Just measure your closet (h,w,l) and they'll help you get a custom solution for a non-custom price.

I also like the different finishes the shelves, etc come in, so you can make it look as classic or utilitarian as you like. I promise I don't work for them- I just love it this much!

It'd be fun to paint your closet in a bright jewel tone. Emerald, amethyst, sapphire, etc. Make it a little jewel box. Get crazy and put in either a delicate mini "chandelier" or a really cool, modern light.

Since this closet is so narrow, I would use a custom closet designer for help. Also painting it a contrasting color with the system you install would make the closet look really beautiful!

Are you saying that cooking next to the chute would gross you out even if its covered? Andd to use it for its intended purpose? In the first picture, it looks like the stove is directly underneath the chute, but I can see in other pics that it is not. I think it is far enough away. If everything is bagged properly, it shouldn't be that bad. You will have to check on local code regarding having the stove next to the window. Code may make your decision for you. People usually just put shorter cabinets above that type of range hood. I would recommend doing so because you need all the storage you can get. The hood--being different from the bank of cabinets--will provide relief to the eye. With cabinets above, it'll still feel balanced. And, as for covering the chute, do you want to cover it and restrict access or do you still need to use it for its intended purpose and just want to camouflage it? To help the room feel pleasant, cheery, and light, I recommend using a glass tile. Even though it's applied to a wall, the translucency still shows and evokes a sense of the adjectives above. I think it would help keep things light. Consider a slightly higher toe-kick underneath the lower cabinets. It helps to create a lighter-footed feeling. You could also consider cabinets that have furniture style feet. for a more open feeling. Your kitchen seems like an ideal room to use modern, lacquered cabinets. I don't know if you like the super-modern look, but I think it could be nice. Maybe just for the uppers. Use a medium-to-light toned wood on the bottom. A limestone floor might be nice. Or you can do wood or laminate. You could go with dark or light. I think it's mostly about preference.

Artificial turf! The green (they come in different colours, too, if you'd like to be psychedelic) adds a lively pop of colour to a blah space, and they're designed in easy-to-install tile-style units that have some built-in drainage for minimal maintenance. Absolut Outdoors and Green Turf can tell you more :) And I'd hang an outdoor art piece or a screen for air plants on that blank wall, too, to enliven your balcony.

HI Rachel, that is the sweetest question that i have come across on Houzz. You win the prize for sure. I am assuming that you want to brew a cup of black tea with milk? Recipe: 1. Boil some fresh water in a electrical kettle or in a small pot over fire. Let it come to a nice boil as you supposed to get the temp of the water to about 96%. 2. Once its boiled, pour a little of the water into your tea cup (notice i did not say mug as i believe that tea ought be enjoyed from a tea cup and saucer and not a mug. You did ask how to make the "perfect cup of tea" ha ha ). Swirl the water a little to heat your cup and pour out the water. 3. Place a tea bag of your choice into the tea cup. 4. Pour the freshly boiled water into your tea cup and let it sit for 30 secs or longer if you like your tea stronger. I leave mine for about a min. 5. Whilst waiting for the tea to brew, you could add a tea spoon of sugar to sweeten your brew if you require. 6. Now add a little room temperature milk and stir with a teaspoon. I find sometimes that hot milk curdles a little when added to a brew of tea. 7. Remove the tea bag after your like the colour of your tea. 8. And now for the most important part, its absolutely crucial to call SUGARBAKERS and let us know that the tea is ready and we can bring our cake and sit with you to enjoy your perfect cup of tea. YES! YES!! i can already hear naysayers saying that one needs to add milk into the cup first and then the hot water and tea bag. Milk was traditionally added to tea cups by the English a long time ago (and has become part of tea drinking culture and tradition today) However the reason why tea was added first was rather debatable. Some say that milk was added first to cool the fine bone china tea cups that were imported from China in those days so as not to crack them. Most cups today are made of porcelain and they are rather strong and can withheld a high temperature. Whichever way you decide best, just dont stick a cup of water with a tea bag into the microwave. The large rapid bubbles will cause your tea bag to tear and you will be left with a some loose leaves in your cup. Unless of course you want your fortune read. Whether you brew your cup of tea... 1. cup - hot water - tea bag - milk 2.cup - milk - tea bag - hot water 3.cup - milk -hot water - tea bag ............ which ever way you brew it, make sure you use fresh water and your water is hot and give it a few seconds to brew before you call us to enjoy it with you. Just a quick tip for brewing green tea or herbal tea. Dont boil your water to a very high temperature. Herbal teas and green tea taste nicer when the water is about 70 to 80 degree celsius and you dont get the metallic taste. Unlike coffee, tea has a huge tradition and culture in many countries.
