need help with a long-narrow living/dining area
Comments (5)maybe a high upholstered banquette directly across from the kitchen? It will create a nice definition of space and can fell very luxurious. A banquette is also a great space saver. and often seats more people than a standard chair at a table If you use a long pedestal table you can slide it under the seat of the banquette when not in use. That leaves a wider path for you to get to the living room area by the windows....See MoreBedroom window along the common corridor
Comments (3)Hi Olivia Chng, If you are facing this kind of problems, you could try to install curtains on your bedroom. Normally blinds is not really suitable for bedroom, because blinds cant really fully cover the lighting. Blackout curtains (100% blocking the light) or Dimout curtains (80%-90% blocking the light). Adding curtains to the windows (and even doors) gives you an additional layer of insulation and can even bring down your power bills in the long run. Since you already installed blinds, you can try to combine with curtains, please check the following link for more information: https://www.facebook.com/innovahomedec/posts/921948654569170 I hope my reply can solve your current problems. Comments (2)Constance and the Creative Mind Design team, you've done an amazing job in restoring a heritage house, and shining a light on a precious family story! The original house is clearly well built for the environment: large overhanging roof, windows tucked neatly under. Love the rusticated exterior and the big arches in the porte cochere too. Haunted only to those who don't know the story! I also love that the original house has been updated to serve the needs of the current, without forgetting the past. Those pink mosaic tiles and wrought iron grilles fit in very nicely in the new house. The airwell seems to bridge the new and old worlds perfectly too....See MoreHow to make my condo look bigger and more appealing
Comments (18)Hi, I agree with Gary, do a hotel setting to make it more appealing. Here’s an idea. Remove the partition, move the closet down and add a big slider freeing up the space for a spacious bedroom with lounge seating/dining by the window. Think about the tv wall where it can have a proper work desk space. And do you have balcony? Perfect !...See More- 15 years ago
