large living room HELP?

we have a nice big space, the problem is, there are main walkways going thru the middle of it like a perfect crosshairs! attached are the approx dimensions and some pics. the curent fireplace color of hunter green will be resurfaced to probably a lighter cream color? the front door is rarely used (there is another). the bay window the door/windows to back deck i would like to utilize for birdwatching. the corner with the xmas tree we were thinking of making a kids corner with half wall partitions squaring it off?. tv will soon be a flatscreen on the wall. arrangement ideas appreciated!! thanks

Wow, that's tough! Can you put your TV where the couch is and then float the couch in the middle of the room to face it? Well, not *right* in the middle...but my idea was that if the couch faces the other way, you could put a narrow console/sofa table behind it to create more of an entryway feel. I know you said you don't use it much, but I think it would still look nice. 2 rugs might be good for this kind of space as well, in 2 different sizes. One for the couch/tv area and another for the other side by the door that goes outside

Kitchen and dinning area could be smaller. The laundry ideally should be easily accessed, preferably close to the kitchen. Will the carport be parked with a vehicle for the majority of time? If so it might not be ideal to have the living room looking at the carport that is covered without much daylight.
