LOST - color and look match
Comments (3)I would reupholster the rosewood furniture in natural canvas or a natural linen look . Ask the upholsterer to do the job with NO welting. That will make it look more contemporary. Then stop by West Elm, Pottery Barn, or Crate & Barrel for some brightly colored pillows. I'm thinking coral might work well with your tile, but you be the judge of what color works best with it. For now we'll assume it's coral. So I'd like to see one wall painted coral if you're so inclined. Otherwise, I'd leave the walls white. Next, let's cover some of that tile you don't like. Two choice: 1. A rug you'll take with you. Perhaps a shaggy offwhite one. 2. A rug you'll leave in your rental. This could be a large piece of carpeting, cut and bound like a rug. Measure for size before going to the carpet store. Most carpeting is 12' wide, so figure on making a rug 12 x something so that there is no waste, or you could make a couple of 6 x somethings. If you could change out the rosewood coffee table for another, I think you'd be happier with the furniture. It needs some variety. Even a couple of small tables from IKEA could work for 6 to 8 months....See MoreFloor Tiles
Comments (2)Well, there are basically 2 ways: Straight and diagonally. This is assuming all floor tiles are the same size and square, of course. If you have a rectangle, then you already have more choice - horizontally or vertically. There are some mix and match sold as sets or created by the person buying them that make the options virtually endless. Heck, you could have chevron floors. You can make a tile "rug" in an area. You can make stripes with a different contrasting tile. You could lay them like parquet floors. You can add little glass tiles in the corners. If you are working with rectangles and/or mixed shapes, the sky is the limit....See MoreHelp!! Matched wrong tiles with mosaic cove at bathtub. How can I make
Comments (7)Maybe these will help you in making lemonade out of the lemon (which I don't think it is)Where else are you putting the beige tiles? And where are you putting the mosaic.Perhaps ramping up the black in accents will legitimize the beige and blackhttps://www.houzz.com/photos/jane-lockhart-interior-design-kylemore-model-home-dublin-traditional-bathroom-toronto-phvw-vp~1267669...See MoreUrgent-Need help for dining table and sofa selection
Comments (1)Go with the leather that is a shade lighter that the floors. Otherwise it could get lost in blur of grey. Use accent colors in the lamp shades, wall art and throws. I also like the white table better. The metal table is more industrial. Than the style you are going for....See Morejanjigian
