Hi did you replace the oak on the staircase, or just refinish what was there? If refinished, how did you do it....just sand it down and restain? What color is this stain, it's beautiful!

Thanks for your inquiry. We in fact just refinished what was existing as it was the most cost effective way to update this curved stair case. We had our finisher go on site, strip the old stain, sand to prep, then stained 2 coats, then a coat of clear on for longevity. This is a custom Charcoal we created and have used many times since this project.

Hi Patricia, these are the chairs above. The look I like the most is the second last photo below, but not big on maroon as have so many maroon rugs and its dominated over the years. I was trying to go for a mustard, as per the samples, but thinking it too might dictate too much. I don't know...go a plain grey, or a pattern with nice cream and green? Sorry what's a sneaker?
