do you happen to know what kind of trees those two are, behind the pool?

Good day & Thank you for your question!

The two trees you see in this photo are Chanticleer Pears (Pyrus calleryana 'Chanticleer'). They are very columnar and work well in tight spaces & near homes. They bloom white in the spring and have very small green berries in the fall that the birds like. They are not messy like crabapples.

You can check out the outdoor floor tiles like the Scala (Google Snap and Go tile) which are easy to piece additionally on the ground for a new look. ;) I saw another brand here, http://list.qoo10.sg/item/OUTDOOR-TIMBER-FLOOR-TILE-SINGAPORE-SELLER-100-AUTHENTIC-BEAUTIFUL/482453309 (not sure where this brand is from but they all work the same). They even have faux grass, stones as well as timber. Definitely easy to DIY, and you can combine different surfaces together if you want (stones and wood combo for example).

I think the color of the wall is quite nice. Speaking about accent on the wall I could recommend a large print on aluminum which does not require framing. you painted that? it's stunning! you can do a lot with just a rug. I have 2 toddlers 2.5 yrs old and 19 months old. and I used a low pile indoor/outdoor rug from Walmart. it was like 40$ for a 5x8. it was soooooo easy to clean even when it was blackberry stains! if you really don't want a to buy a rug there are a ton of DIY area rugs on pintrest where you take a cloth and tape it to a non slip pad, then toss it in the wash! brilliant right? you can definitely use 2 big pillows, the have a mustardy/yellow one at ikea (you can wash the covers and switch them too) and maybe a couple small accent pillows. but LOVING the painting...and I wish it was mine..K bye lol! :)

I would get a rubber tree, a photos (evil's ivy) and a dracaena deremensis, they all can live in low light and humid conditions. A ficus benjamina could do well there too. most of then grow very tall so your balcony would feel more like a little jungle or forest :)

Unfortunately, we only did the landscaping. I do not know what type of pool surface color it is.
