What is the name of granite? Where to buy?

I have oak cabinets and oak wood floor. To keep the room brought and not too yellow, what granite would you recommend? Note: I do not like block countertops.

One thing about the soap dispenser, i've had many clients believe that you need to crawl under the sink to refill the dispenser. In reality the pump part of the dispenser is easily removed from up top and refilled.

Hi Dagobert Duck (interesting name), I am assuming that this is a townhouse in Asia, as you mention the dry kitchen and wet kitchen (terms used mostly in Singapore) and also from the visible lift on the plan that you shared. I would definitly advice you to keep the dry kitchen and place the dining table close to the dry kitchen or close to the bay window on the left. The space here is rather large and can easily accommodate a regular 2 metre table with 8 chairs. If you are concerned about the view of dining table as you enter the house, you could always place a round table near the entrance to block off the view. I agree with Elaine about placing the furniture away from walls. Place a bunch of fresh flowers or art/sculpture above the round table like in a hotel entrance. So the the first view you see when you enter the house is the table with flowers. Its difficult to give you any further advice as we have no idea what your final vision of the place is? price out your range/stove and hood. then see where you are at. The price of hoods can be surprising and do things to your stated budget. Once you have your careful planning and products/labour costs estimated, the TIME to do it is not particularly significant. Removal of what is there...picking the right sizes for your items, making adjustments: you have to be aware there is a process and you will need a technically skilled person to help you. Do not start buying/choosing things until you get someone in to evaluate and give you a quote to do this for you. A contractor who will agree to"smaller" jobs is where I would start the phone calls. It can be tricky...and involve some time to find someone. do you have friend/relative who can tell you names?
