Comments (6)My personal preference is for seamless hardwood throughout (except bathrooms), but it is just that--a personal preference. Many people prefer tile in their kitchen and hardwood floors through the rest of the house, or some other combination of floorings. Even though it seems like there are so many photographs on Houzz of seamless floors throughout, remember than whenever you are seeing a kitchen with a tile floor the chances are good that the rest of the house is not that same tile. So even though you aren't seeing the seams in the photos, many have them....See MoreTiny Flat
Comments (10)What do you think of a mirror for the backsplash on the kitchen? You cant see the pic here, but it faces a huge window on the other side of the room. I love the idea of grey/ dark cabinets, (with a wood coloured surface worktop) but might cost a small fortune to rework it. Will check on prices. The wallpaper idea is also really nice - much to mull through. so hard to decide! I'm thinking of replacing the dining table set with a booth + round table seating and maybe add a mirror behind it space. Not sure if i can fit a whole L booth into the dining space and still fit in a table, so might just settle for a booth on one side....See MoreUrgent-Need help for dining table and sofa selection
Comments (1)Go with the leather that is a shade lighter that the floors. Otherwise it could get lost in blur of grey. Use accent colors in the lamp shades, wall art and throws. I also like the white table better. The metal table is more industrial. Than the style you are going for....See MoreHow does this work? Making wall collages look good.
Comments (20)work out the wall space you want to cover, measure this on the floor. then start laying out our design within the space on the floor to create your design. There has to be lines running through the collage so there is a method to the madness- we don't want a messy looking arrangement, there must be a flow. You can line up the matts with outside edge of other frames etc. Layout all of your pics on the floor and mix up the frame styles and sizes amongst your layout. Take photos of your layout and then start hanging. My tip is don't start hanging until you have your plan 100% !!! lots of neck stretches too! i recently put together this collage and need a neck massage afterwards ;-)...See MoreKK1000
