Comments (1)First of all, your floor shouldn't constrain you. You can resolve its impact on the room by placing a large rug on the floor. I would go for a soft shag cream rug so it is textural and literally soft on the eye and feet. Then, with your bed and furnishings around the walls, you can "break" the join between floor and wall and paint your teals or greens... a soft green that veers more to olive than lime could work, as could a soft teal... hard to say without photos......See Morewood flooring for small bedroom - long straight planks or small herrin
Comments (5)Herring bone is beautiful but expensive to install. Teak is a little darker than oak so if the room is small then you will want to work with the lightest wood = oak. Oil finish will offer low gloss with a beautiful silky/velvety appearance that keeps the wood looking very natural. Easy to repair by the homeowner if scratches occur. Low traffic areas (like bedrooms) can have finish reapplied every few years...depending on wear. A low gloss polyurethane will do the same thing...but some people complain of "foot prints" being visible on the matte poly finish. Turns out the oils from the skin/socks is shinier than the matte finish = foot prints....See Morei am bored with the look of my home!
Comments (26)Hi. It's looking really good and you've done well with the bookshelves! ! I love the new sofa! I would say just a tad more yellow if your husband can bear it, doesn't have to be solid yellow. I'd add something else on the left shelves (I'd move one shelf of photos to the right hand shelving and swap for some books), maybe a ginger jar if you can get an old one. Maybe a patterned throw or cushion for your wooden chair and a small yellow throw for the bench just draped over the corner. Table idea sounds great. Are you happy with it? I think it's made such a big difference...See MoreIn the bedroom...does wallpaper work?
Comments (5)Wallpaper and wall decals are fun! I've loved this bedroom over and over again and it's definitely the wall that draws me in. Wallpaper as a feature wall sooooo works!...See More- 8 years ago
