I use Decorator's White on trim, ceiling, walls.... everything.

One of my pet peeves was with my ex, he insisted he would help wash the pots/pans that could not go in the dishwasher. However, even if they sat in the sink for days he would get angry at me for "not trusting him to keep his word" if I washed them before he got to it. So my choices were to wait - sometimes weeks - with the same dirty pots sitting in the sink and unable to use them for cooking until they were clean or wash them myself and get yelled at and send him into a spiral of depression since he had bipolar tendencies. Oh - and of course if I ever mentioned the fact that there were unwashed pots in the sink or asked when he would get to them that was considered "nagging" and would cause another argument and subsequent depression.

What a great room! If you enjoy the general Monochromatic feel of your room I'd go with white or silver (see 'option2' photo) and let your accent pillows do the accenting! The blue hue on the wall actually simplifies your color options. Either pull that color in through a patterned application as mentioned above (see 'option1' photo) or just stick to silver/white. Hi Rhonda, i also recently redid my terrace and installed a wet and dry island in my kitchen. As for your floor plan, if you're willing to consider tearing down the maid's room and moving it to the back, it will free up a lot of space for your dry kitchen/dining area. A bit unconventional, but you can also install the island in between the 2 pillars that are in the center. You can then install pot racks or wine glass holders on top of your island.
