Jazz up my House!!
We just purchased this house. I don't hate the exterior. I don't love it either. There is just something missing but I don't know what. Right now, we aren't going to redo siding/windows or add a porch. I'm thinking more along the lines of shutter color? door color? What color(s) will help it go from the 1984 to 2017?

Comments (8)I really like pale grayish sage with white. Also a cool greenish aqua for a soothing look to the bath. White or gray Corian counter. If it's a low-use bath such as a powder room, white marble would be lovely for the counter. Rug or mat on the floor with a nice pattern to hide spills, dog hair, etc. If you have a window, lovely drapes, custom shade or match-stick blinds would help warm the space. Finally, if you have a bathtub, a custom shower curtain will really dress up the space and add character/warmth. Comments (1)I couldn't agree more! Coming home to a clean house puts a smile on my face. Cleaning a little bit everyday takes less effort than one big sweep. Eg; cleaning mixing bowls and utensils as you brown the onions can save yourself a huge clean up at the end. You also get to enjoy your meal a lot sooner too :)...See More

6 years agolast modified: 6 years agoI agree with chloebud about adding windows to the garage door. There are faux windows that are very easy to add and quite inexpensive. Painting the garage door would help as well as painting the downspout on the right of the garage to match. I darkened up the shutters a bit, painted the garage and downspout and painted your posts in a color as close as I could get to your front door.

6 years agoAfter seeing this example, I'm changing my mind about the garage door. Paint the trim and the garage bright white. Also, these faux hinges and handle are super cheap and easy to install and would go great with the style of your house. You can get them at Home Depot.
