Need Help to renovate the Kitchen

Hi Designer please advice what colour tone and design for my Kitchen cabinets (top/bottom) as my flooring is 2 tone tile being dull pink (no hacking ) I intend to renovate the whole kitchen estimated 23-24FT (L shape). Appreciate as I have carpentry wood works to do the job (Mrs Teo)

Hi Alice, that's a really good question - challenging dilemma with a strong limitation (no hacking!) but I believe workable. Would you consider making changes to the backsplash? Adding some strip lighting will help too.

Given the pink checkered floor tiles cannot be changed, I'd favour going for very neutral and clean looking cabinetry - to reduce visual clutter and bring in some harmony. Regardless of colour of finish choice, I prefer cabinetry that's not see-through.

Hi Alice,

PInk, grey and white are great combinations. The picture attached has a rather loud pink backsplash but if you could use white glass backsplash with grey cabinets and grey kitchen counter top.

The top units could be in a off white (french white).

I've done a few similar units and created an island. The wc area has too many utilities (waste pipes etc) to be fully removed, plus living in a Maisonette myself, I find it practical to keep a powder room downstairs. You could push the wall between the front door (if you are able to purchase the access area, you can move the front door out as well for even more foyer space). In its place could be full height cabinets as well as your fridge. At the back wall you could plan your basin and hob on the island (or the other way around). My preference is to place a glass wall and door to the yard, so you have the washing machine away from the kitchen and another layer between the kitchen and the powder room. The chute is contained then as well, which works pretty ok. Your laundry will be out of sight if the glass is frosted, but still provides plenty of light.
