What is that in the sink?

I am looking for an alternative to having a dish drain on the counter. I want my counters clear of clutter and dishes sitting around.

Thank you for your interest to our design, you may see from the picture that the dish tray has been come with the sink that can help to drain the dishes after washing. Alternately, dishwasher would be another choice if it is affordible no matter of the budget and space wise.

One thing about the soap dispenser, i've had many clients believe that you need to crawl under the sink to refill the dispenser. In reality the pump part of the dispenser is easily removed from up top and refilled.

if you lighten the cabinets etc, then the stone will appear more prominent. if that is what you want, that is fine. I sensed that you did not like the current counter. I would contact a marble/granite installer to see if they think that the cracks can be filled and polished out. it is pretty common to do this on new installations if it is feasible. they may try to charge you as as much as you would spend on a fabricating a counter out of a new slab if they did not do the original installation.

Hi Rhonda, i also recently redid my terrace and installed a wet and dry island in my kitchen. As for your floor plan, if you're willing to consider tearing down the maid's room and moving it to the back, it will free up a lot of space for your dry kitchen/dining area. A bit unconventional, but you can also install the island in between the 2 pillars that are in the center. You can then install pot racks or wine glass holders on top of your island.
