What Pattern Is This?

I would like to do something interesting to my risers. I was thinking about mosaics until I saw this! We are building a new staircase. Do we need to do anything special? (lip as the staircase is exposed?)

Nothing special needs to be done to existing stairs in order to apply our decorative stair risers. Simply glue or nail to the existing risers and make an extraordinary artistic impression!

You already have your accent colour as your sofa pillows (log roll pillows). I would take one of them shopping with me to get a rug that has that colour in it. It doesn't need to be a lot of that colour (I love the idea of burgandy rug here...but it might be too much with your monotone scheme). You can find a large rug that incorporates that red/raspberry in it so that you have a colour that is now your accent.

Hi. It's looking really good and you've done well with the bookshelves! ! I love the new sofa! I would say just a tad more yellow if your husband can bear it, doesn't have to be solid yellow. I'd add something else on the left shelves (I'd move one shelf of photos to the right hand shelving and swap for some books), maybe a ginger jar if you can get an old one. Maybe a patterned throw or cushion for your wooden chair and a small yellow throw for the bench just draped over the corner. Table idea sounds great. Are you happy with it? I think it's made such a big difference

Hi Patricia, these are the chairs above. The look I like the most is the second last photo below, but not big on maroon as have so many maroon rugs and its dominated over the years. I was trying to go for a mustard, as per the samples, but thinking it too might dictate too much. I don't know...go a plain grey, or a pattern with nice cream and green? Sorry what's a sneaker?
