You already have your accent colour as your sofa pillows (log roll pillows). I would take one of them shopping with me to get a rug that has that colour in it. It doesn't need to be a lot of that colour (I love the idea of burgandy rug here...but it might be too much with your monotone scheme). You can find a large rug that incorporates that red/raspberry in it so that you have a colour that is now your accent.

Hi Dagobert Duck (interesting name), I am assuming that this is a townhouse in Asia, as you mention the dry kitchen and wet kitchen (terms used mostly in Singapore) and also from the visible lift on the plan that you shared. I would definitly advice you to keep the dry kitchen and place the dining table close to the dry kitchen or close to the bay window on the left. The space here is rather large and can easily accommodate a regular 2 metre table with 8 chairs. If you are concerned about the view of dining table as you enter the house, you could always place a round table near the entrance to block off the view. I agree with Elaine about placing the furniture away from walls. Place a bunch of fresh flowers or art/sculpture above the round table like in a hotel entrance. So the the first view you see when you enter the house is the table with flowers. Its difficult to give you any further advice as we have no idea what your final vision of the place is? Hi! I looking for a area rug for my new house and I got a very good offer from a carpet shop which is the Persian rug 293X387cm (attach pic 1 ) 1)I am not sure does it suit my furniture in the living hall ? My entrance (from the main door) will put a big console table (pic 2) then will come place a white or beige color two seater fabric sofa(similar layout as pic 3) and a coffee table in the center ( haven’t got it yet , please recommend) and two single wooden chairs (pic 4)with a matching round table on the side. What I am worried is the design of the carpet is too eye catching, will it goes well with my furniture and layout ? Should I choose another design which is smaller (248X332cm) in lighter color ? (Pic 5) Please advise and thank you so much !
