What kind of plastic netting are you using?

Trying to construct something similar for my garden. What kind of netting are you using for the fence?

Hi Allen,

We use 16 gauge welded wire for our classic gardens as pictured above.

Marble are non-porous thus it would cause etching and corrosion. Besides that, marble are high maintenance materials. Marble requires proper care and maintenance. Acid should never be used on marble as it shall loose its shine. Marble should be regularly polished over a period of time to give it a new look. If proper precautions are not taken the marble becomes yellowish in colour. Italian marble is usually very soft and prone to cracks. Proper resins have to be used to make the surface strong and solid and avoid further cracks. Proper sealants should be used in marble flooring as the marble is highly porous and prone to staining. It absorbs stains very quickly especially kitchen stains hence are not appropriate for kitchen counter tops. Quartz would be a better choice as quartz are non porous. Luke, please keep some if the empty film canisters, they hold $17 in $1 coins, and are handy in the car's ash tray. I don't have enough $2 coins to advise of their value. Look at the storage container of everything you through out and just like the lady above with the nappy containers, often things are grossly over packaged and can be re-purposed.

What kind of painting to put behind my chesterfield sofa?

I'm not sure if there are any hard and fast rules but I think it needs to be probably at least half the width of the sofa to look good. In your case I would probably go for something 65-75% of the width of the sofa with maybe the height around 55-70% of the length. You could also try a large portrait style, the best thing to do is to cut out a template and hang it on the wall to see what you like as chesterfields are normally quite low. I'd also move the sofa slightly but are the ceiling lights positioned over the sofa? Hard to tell from the camera angle. I also thought of the Vintage film pics but maybe not original. My basement has a slight film theme with lighting ( actually I have a Chesterfield and cowhide too!) and I have large black and white pics of movie stars but not from film clips ie the iconic Michael Caine shot taken by David Bailey. I also love vintage travel posters, I know they've been around for quite a while now but you could find a destination that means something to you. Or look at industriał style art with a pop of colour. Or an abstract with pops of colour.

Well fellow Houzzers I hate to admit it but I've been firmly planted on Houzz for a large part of the day under the watchful eye of Foxtel tunes "Blues & roots". Most of it was okay including some Bob Dylan and Van Morrison as stand outs. My 25 year old son is home and said "How are your going with your project?" I said okay/good/great etc...(secret women's business) but my neck is getting sore. Then he said "you should listen to some music on your headphones" and he suggested tycho. Well after getting in the zone for the last hour...with this techno trance'ish background music (okay'ish music I guess, no singing just some dj spinning airy electronic sounds and stuff)... An hour or so has gone by thanks to the never ending ability of Youtube to load the next album etc while I have been mindfully saving and reading lots of Houzz including raiding photos from Luke Buckle's idea books. (Thanks Luke!) The outside world has been buzzing along without distracting me, I am lost in the world of Houzz & might be here for days unless I am rescued by someone offering food and water. Now to get to the bottom of this rant, tycho & similar types of music is apparently what young people listen to when they are on their computers working on something important that we parents will never understand. (My son is working on an app apparently) As they have headphones on we have to physically interrupt them for the likes of dinner, bin emptying, cleaning etc and this is why there is a generation gap caused by people like me not getting with the times. All I want to do is go to a spa for neck therapy!
