Small bedroom for two

Hi everyone, hope you can share some ideas to make a small bedroom comfortable for two elderly.

Here is my floor plan. Would require wardrobe and a queen size bed. Being able to have storage and some tabletop space will be nice. I guess tv / feature will be a luxury for such a small room.

Hi, Ok just give you a quick one using my phone. queen bedsize here 1520x2000. I think a 700mm high ledge by the widow is nice to put photo frames, display, books. 800 wide table overlaps the ledge. wardrobe can be made deeper to fit more hanging and shelves. And yes the TV can still hang nicely on the right wall... HNY !

Well, they aren't wrong about plants competing with you for oxygen, but research have definitely shown that there are in fact plants that are recommended to be placed beside your beds for better sleep! Air purifying plants not only absorb odours and moulds that can impact breathing and lung health, they also beautify your place and makes you feel at ease ;) Plants recommended for aiding sleep includes jasmine, lavender, snake plant, aloe vera, spider plant, english ivy, peace lily and golden pothos (money plant, as recommended above). They are also shade-loving plants, thus are most suitable for bedrooms. One of the convenience of having plants in your bedroom, in my opinion, is that they benefit from air-conditioning! I do have marble queen pothos, philodendrons, snake plants and peperomias right beside my bed and I probably only water them once every week (some even lesser than that!). It really shows that you don't necessarily have to water them daily ;)

Hello, In 3 years time, you need to put back the wall since u have a 9 yrs old Son hitting teenager and expect own space or your girl would prefer her private space as girl and part of build self-respected lady. Beginning putting them together helps build bond and family strength. Best to start building independence early, makes your parenting easier. Build a home rather than a house. A space is meant to build relationship. With your family size, I would not suggest breaking wall. Extend living room, best is extending into balcony by creating same levels as living room. Now got zip blinds which seal aircon space within balcony open to living. Having glass showcase is good for your toys display. See idea from Ikea. For your new home starting, get basic done prosper. Basic means the essentials. For other parts, take your time and enjoy finding more ideas and shopping around till the great feeling comes to u. If not sure, I think Ikea has many combinations so if u do not like after few years, easy to do make-over. Expensive furniture is too painful to change. Ha! More space for bedroom? use the folding type beds and double as study table. I use platform bed like Japanese room. For Long dining tables, there are extendable type when guests comes. Ikea comes cheapest. There are premium in other Malls. Get extra chair that is stackable not foldable, hurt kids fingers and takes space. Have fun!
