Hello Marina, our apologies, but we do not have any information about sources in the UK for a similar door. My best recommendation is to print it out and search your local home improvment stores to find a similar style. We call it the Cheyenne, but it could have other names with various door manufactures. I would seriously consider replacing the cabinets before putting a new granite countertop on them. The problem is that no one will remove the countertop at a later date if you want to change the cabinets, due to the possibility of breakage. The only choice you will have then is a reface. Adding new doors, drawer fronts, and veneered sides is just a facelift. You could also add new hardwood drawers with undermount cushion close slides, but by the time you do this if will be the same cost as new cabinets now. The cabinets you have now, frameless, particle board sides are notorious for having the hinge screws strip out the particle board they are attached to. Since you can't put a longer screw in them, because the material is only 3/4" of an inch thick you have a problem. You also can't put a wider screw in them because it won't fit through the pre-drilled holes in the hinges.

Hi Rachel, This is quite easy to fix. Firstly I would brighten the space up with a white paint such as Nippon Violet Whispers (warm white), this will give you a good base to work from. Then I would replace your table with one that is larger. This table is too small to be useful and is making your entrance feel small. I recommend using teak and keeping this console table simple in design. On the wall I would place artwork - the bigger the better as this will make a dramatic statement. Then add some lighting (table lamp on console table) and decorative items and voila your entrance will be instantly chic! I have mocked up two options for you - one is based on blues, the other pinks, so depending on your preference you can go either way. The only way to truly cat proof a house is to not have a cat / kitten, so you need to get rid of some of your anxiety and be prepared to have a bit of damage e.g. they may claw your couches etc. Easiest tip is to never have net curtains as they will be the first to go. Some cats will also use bean bags as toilets because they make the same type of noise and feeling of kitty litter so be prepared for that. I think you should consider getting an older cat. One from a rescue centre. Set it up with a lovely bed in the sun, allow it to see outside, have one if not two kitty litter boxes in the house and keep them clean.

It looks to me as if the hinges have been exposed to moisture. On a very tiny area, try a few drops of lemon juice and some table salt. Rub gently with a cotton swab. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. I do not know it it will work because I do not know what kind of metal the hinges are.
