Decoration help!
Comments (11)Well actually I'm not a fan of wall decals/stickers and sticky hooks don't hold up on concrete walls with a weird paint on them Anyhoo, I only put up original art in the form of painting OR of family/friends portraits. It's been sorted out. But still can't figure out how to delete this post or edit it to no longer relevant, if someone knows lemme know!...See MoreNeed help designing my corridor
Comments (9)Hi razis_wwf13, here are two articles on Houzz to get you started with. Although they are international, some ideas are applicable to the HDB context. My favourite is to use the corridor as an artwork gallery with some proper lighting :) [10 Clever Tips to Better Use Corridors[(https://www.houzz.com.sg/magazine/10-clever-tips-to-better-use-corridors-stsetivw-vs~77897314) [Create a Welcoming Hallway When you Don't Have one[(https://www.houzz.com.sg/magazine/create-a-welcoming-hallway-when-you-dont-have-one-stsetivw-vs~81092193)...See MoreHelp spicing up a small rental apartment and hiding ugly meter box
Comments (10)Thanks everyone for the great comments!! I’ve decided to incorporate everyone’s comments. 1) Using Nippon rememberance for the wall color 2) Using pastel curtains with 3M to cover the ugly door and meter box 3) Making my own night stand from books 4) Getting a big art piece for the side wall 5) Putting a 55 inch TV at the foot of my bed for well, extravagance Some quick questions... 1) what color curtains and table top work best with this shade of grey? For the table top, I might get a fresh piece of wood and laminate myself. 2) what modern frame do you recommend for this wall and this kind of art, or should I drop the frame, and innovate, maybe just get a big piece of plastic and glue the sides? ;) 3) any fun ideas for the TV stand? I don’t want to rent a minivan just to transport the tv stand, and the space between my bed and the planned curtain is tiny - like 45cm. So I’m thinking of an adhoc tv stand and stabilising it in a different way. :) Ok, you guys have been super crazy helpful! Thank you so much, I’ll share photos (hopefully not too embarrassing) when I’m done!...See MoreRound double height dining room fan and lighting
Comments (0)We are building our new house with a round double height dining room for a round dining table and we want to have a ceiling fan as well as a long pendant lights that echo the roundness of the room. The design team is modern tropical. The ceiling fan would have to be on a very long rod and the pendant lights also. We don't want the epileptic effect of the fan spinning under the lights. Any ideas would be welcome....See Morepearlandgirl
