Love the paint colour

I saw that the colour used was Milton Moon from the article on Houzz. When I picked up a paint card from Dulux it is really grey in no way blue like it appears in the photos. Is it a lot more grey than it appears or is the paint card really off??

Hi Judy. Yes the colour is dulux milton moon, sorry without seeing the card I really cant comment, but that is the colour that was used for the 2pac finish. It may change ever so slightly as we used a full matt finish but it was definitely milton moon. photos can give different appearances due to variations of light and shade and from different angles. it is definitely a grey colour though.

Thank you. I was actually going by the story on Houzz that said it was a kitchen with a light blue hue.

I think if you select a wall color that is too well coordinated to the tile, it will only bring out the vibrant pattern in the tile. So pick colors you like. Let your personal style and the vibe of the rooms dictate the colors. Your walls, furnishings and accessories will take center stage so you won't really notice the tile. Area rugs will down play the tile too. Ceilings are a great opportunity to add color also.

I opened my earlier post to edit the paint name in case you ever want to paint non-tufted, no-nap fabric. Unfortunately, my cat Linguine loves the binging and bonging sounds of the computer when he stands on the keyboard. Not helpful. It disappeared so... here is the name: Simply Spray Fabric Paint for Upholstery. (They have your charcoal gray) It did not make the fabric crunchy, stiff or weird. Nobody wants crunchy, stiff, or weird :-) Again, I would not paint the fabric on your gorgeous bed but I would change the wood color. The black edge and empty white room are the reasons it looks heavy. If you paint the black, I would suggest using an artist brush on the edge that meets the fabric even with fabric covered. House or painter's brushes are too wide for good control in that tight space. They are not as flexible as artists brushes nor as small. The Paris bed I mentioned was gray velvet and soft matte metallic gold wood. Soft, romantic, dreamy and transporting to a world of Princesses and Kings. If you keep the purple, I vote for gold or silver wood but NOT high gloss.

You definitely want to use a primer first. Paint it one coat to be absolutely sure no yellow is showing through. A second coat if necessary. Otherwise you will find the everso slight tinge of yellow will upset the other walls

Sorry Judy that the sort was written regarding a blue hue. the other photo shows the grey tone as the light falls differently.
